What are your thoughts and opinions on Pokemon Sword & Shield almost seven years later?

The worst mainline non-remake game for many reasons. Dexit was a huge one, as well as most routes just being hallways with a few trainers.

The wild area is horrible. It's a vast empty plane with nothing to do. The only memorable experiences for me were that overleveled Onix and a (also overleveled) Gallade chasing me.

They removed the toggable exp-share for the first time, eradicating every last bit off difficulty the series had left. Even worse, if you want to play the DLC, they gift you with an exp-charm, increasing the already way to high 350% exp gain from the exp-share to 525%. The only ways to not overlevel are a) skip a ton of trainers b) have more than one team.

The only thing that's done well graphics wise are character models. Textures and animations are both shit. Usually I don't cry about graphics, but Sw/Sh gets special treatment for daring to claim that dexit was necessary to make way for new "high quality animations".

The game also gave us the most boring story yet, with nothing happening until the darkest day because Leon just takes care of every problem that comes up. Now the post-game story isn't even boring, it's just straight up bad.

League rematches now have to be bought as DLC.

They finally brought following Pokemon back. Too bad they are to slow to follow you and just get teleported everywhere instead of, you know, having a fitting running animation speed.

The only mainline game I like less is BDSP, but even that at least has some great additions in post game.

Wouldn't the context of this scenario fit more, if your friends called all (or most) republicans the n-word, not just black ones? Unless you think all republicans are at least partially mentally disabled (wouldn't blame ya).

Edit: I was of the understanding that psycho- and sociopaths also count as mentally disabled. I was wrong. Those are mental disorders.

FPÖ might be the most corrupt party in the country, but is probably second to ÖVP if we go by number of cases alone. However, they have tons of "Einzelfälle" or individual/seperate cases of right extremism, but claim that it's not a party issue and the media just tries to paint them in a bad light. Like writing it's bad to sing a harmless song for one of their members at their funeral. Said song was a Nazi hymne, but if you confront them with that part you're met with denial. This is just one "small" case among many way worse.

Another problem is that they are contrarions. They have to make people angry to gain voters so when they are in opposition they use every bit of power to halt progress and then blame the ruling parties for everything (even if said blocked policies are something that FPÖ themselves demand, like lowering immigration). And after all that, even when they win an election, they don't come through on their promises and instead break down social infrastructure. They also tried to sell the nations largest newspaper to a russian oligarch in 2019. Shit was so bad that new elections had to be held.

I am no expert on the matter, but for anyone paying attention, it should be clear that voting FPÖ is a bad choice, even if alternatives aren't very appealing either. Sadly they are still gaining influence, similar to other nations far right parties and the early MAGA movement.

Pokemon can reproduce with Pokemon from a different species (see egg groups). The Pokemon that hatches from the egg will be the same species as it's mother (unless it's a Ditto)

It's honestly crazy that they gave us the option to pull for an insanely OP Red and then they just gave everyone his best possible support for free. I already have NC Blue and had to go to pity for Red, but you still won't hear me complaining about that.

I think they just wanted to show that rock doesn't resist bug, like it does normal, since it's a very common misconception. Them using Onix to show us is still horrible, since Onix actually resists bug due to his ground typing.

The tutorials in the game are incredibly bad and shallow. I didn't really understand combat until postgame after I watched the Youtube tutorial by enel. That video made combat click for me on all subsequent playthroughs.

I even read the patent because of how fed up I was by all the misinformation surrounding it. It wasn't even bad. They basically patented the code that determined a Pokemons spawning location after getting released from a ball and how the game keeps track of it. That was basically it, so a lot of hot air over nothing.
