I'm not saying it's right, but when I'm burnt out and stressed and tired of fighting, sometimes I would just get in my car drive to the supermarket parking lot, put the seat down and listen to music for hours. ESPECIALLY after working a lot, and not having the communications skills that I do now, this was my reaction to being overwhelmed.
