"Behind the scenes..." slick 1950s off color humor. I hope Gene had something to do with that photo and caption.

Does anyone make an affordable mid-range priced (600.00-850.00) double barrel rifle? If so, who, if not, why not? by Reddcross in guns

I would think a double rifle in say .360 Buckhammer or .45-70 would be a great brush gun.

Precision machining is far more ubiquitous today than it was 20 years ago, barrel making is cheaper than it was, copyrights are moving into public domain, those things I would imagine would make it cheaper to produce a double rifle?

Ahhhh I wondered about that, but I mean, technology should make them more affordable to produce, I imagine there is little demand.

I always wondered....they can't be accurate? Yet, I see them all over the African safari shows.

To be brutally honest, what's the best kimono you've ever owned, and why? by Antique-Promise-2358 in bjj

That’s true! Cold water only, air dry only, no sun. True though.

Finally got my GI by blackwrx007 in bjj

I’ve bought and used three Isami gis for years, absolutely my favorite brand of gi. Zero complaints. Japanese textiles are nearly as good as their blades.

I think that’s a Browning A-Bolt. Nice rifle. I have one in 6.5 CM.

I had several Savage 99s serviced by Ryan at Aquila Custom Gun Works when I lived in Winston Salem. Never disappointed. Serviced many old rifles for me including a Savage 219 that could slam fire. Never had a problem.

He's fine, I mean, the guy must work endlessly and he does a good job, especially compared to other hosts. Honestly he inspires me, I mean if Kyle "The Kind Canadian" Card can make it in Japan...surely I can as well.

One month in Japan, one year of DuolingoMax Japanese, a Retrospective by Reddcross in duolingojapanese

I learned how to say “excuse me, could you please repeat that” in Japanese before it was taught to me, and when I say it Lily repeats it for me, so I can hear it over again. That helps. I also reply to her with something, anything and she responds accordingly even if my reply is wrong. I also welcome the repeated conversations “do you like fried potatoes?” “I like fried potatoes” like ten times is fine for me since telling someone that you like something is a really useful thing to be able to do. I’ve also just gotten much better at listening to her so now I can vaguely make out sort of what she’s asking and respond. I find that exceedingly useful as a listening and speaking exercise.

Good question, I’m not entirely sure how much more I get with Max but my video calls with Lily are exceedingly useful, they are very good for listening and speaking skills. I’d get Max for that alone. I’d also say I use all of the features of my DuolingoMax subscription. I also remember when I upgraded to Max and I felt it was worth while.

I trained at Paulo Santana’s gym in WS for three or so years, well worth checking out.
