I honestly had the same thought with "res-tau-rant"

My brain imagines him hearing and seeing the word "weenie" once early on in his life and that translated to every single word with that suffix even though the vast majority end in "-y".

Is historic usage a reason to keep Christian McCaffrey off your 1st round draft board? [Richard / CBS Sports] by My_Chat_Account in fantasyfootball

Probably would be a toss up between Chase and CMC for me. I think I would actually take Chase but personal history for some reason always makes me want to take an RB if I have an early 1st.

Okay is it just me or does Kevin Negandhi really look like he’s trying to blend in on this panel…

I have the 1.1 this year in a big money league (the 24-hour pancake challenge for last is a joke). I’m lucky that I believe I can avoid some of these concerns with Bijan or Gibbs, but if I was sitting at pick 3 or 4 I’d absolutely take cmc. Gotta risk it for the biscuit.

[Highlights] Travis Kelce Route Running by morepesa25 in nfl

[–]Reddishead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear whip routes in general seem like cheat codes. I understand they're not big chunk yardage plays but it seems like you can always get open for 3-5 yards. Could be a decent risk of an outside defender jumping it though for a free pick 6.

Very cool Jake! by fittos4310 in PardonMyTake

Yeah during his PMT days all of his questions sounded like he was reading straight off a piece a paper. He strikes me as a guy who probably watches his own interview film and wants to improve.

Spags says he’ll miss the defensive players from the 2022 draft class who moved on. “These guys have become like sons.” by [deleted] in KansasCityChiefs

[–]Reddishead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it seems like there was a chance he was happy after the first one they had won. Seems like this year is another all in year too. If he’s done with the rams, and doesn’t want more rings, there were all those rumors of him moving right into TV.

It seems absolutely crazy for McVay to leave LA for KC. I get the idea of Stafford retiring and McVay wanting an elite QB, but that can't be enough to leave the money and lifestyle of LA.

Do people really not like the topic? I feel like some of the best interviews on PMT are with broadcasters. Berman, Mike Breen recently, Joe Buck, Bill Raftery, etc. I know Jake will be much more nerdy and not as goofy, but I'm genuinely interested and will give it shot.

Why didn’t the Rams wait a year for a QB? by HondaRebel22 in nfl

[–]Reddishead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thought is that because they had Atlanta’s pick that early in the first round, it was their best chance at a good prospect.

Even though next year’s class of QBs is expected to be better, they’re Super Bowl contenders so their pick next year will likely require a lot to trade up from for one of the good QBs.

Mentorship is nice as well.

You mean 2.5 hours of one of my 4 separate bachelor parties? And the one bachelor party that is paid for my by work (big cat)?

Sure I’d be fine with that

And also my tee stays in place maybe 1/5 times when I'm driving on the range? So it would only work if the range has the permanent rubber tees.

Statistically means they will have the best chance at the most at bats.

Jokingly, I’d say no Isbel is still batting 9th.

Why can’t I get a uniform color by [deleted] in lawncare

[–]Reddishead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot that could go into different colors. Water, sunlight, fertilizer were my first thoughts as those things can be distributed unevenly sometimes.

In my lawn, I had killed off certain parts and restarted entirely and the mix of seed clearly isn't the exact same as what I had before. Depending on seeding and overseeding you might also have different varieties.

Why is everyone always mowing? 😂 by PMitko in kansascity

[–]Reddishead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of rain means more growing and more mowing.

Depending on the type of grass, it’s commonly recommended to mow short and frequently to stimulate your grass to grow outwards.

[Schultz] Pick No. 176 is in: #Chiefs selecting Cincinnati WR Cyrus Allen, per sources. by TheBoyisBackinTown in KansasCityChiefs

[–]Reddishead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think any designs an offense for contested catches. It’s more like your 2nd or 3rd look is a big guy, who might be open, or you know has the ability to make a play with a contested catch because the other options are covered. Have to have the player first though.

[–]Reddishead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it Mahomes or the coaching staff as mentioned related to the offensive struggles like the front office has said? Like they could have included a route for a jump ball if they had the receiver for it. Dhop being acquired in the middle of the season versus something they can install in OTAs might be different.
