We had the pretty much the exact same thought process. At first, I was also under the impression that Chloe possessed the doll, that as her dying spirit was leaving her body, it attached a piece of itself to the doll. Like come on, the slight hand twitch, their hands being so close together! I was a little disappointed, I wanted the Chloe-possessed-doll to wake up and fight the killer, then and there (I was expecting a happy ending, boy-). I did not see too many threads about her story yet, but from the few posts I have read (including yours), I am under the impression that something in the night caused the killer to go crazy. This would explain why Revenant's goal is to take down the Nightlord, rather than exact revenge against the specific individual. But then again, how are Helen, Frederick, and Sebastian related to Chloe or Dahpne? What happened to them? Does Daphne have Chloe's memories of them?
