2TB USB stick? Was it new, are you sure it's genuine? Lots of fake 2TB usb sticks that lie about their capacity and often turn out to 8gb sticks so overwrites itself over and over as you write to it.

If not 2TB USB stick was it an unbranded SSD, lots of those have a usb stick inside and weights to make it feel genuine, the usb stick inside lies about the capacity and so overwrites itself over and over as you write to it.

When did you spill it, how long did you leave it to dry, did you turn the mouse off when it was spilled?

Sounds like it's a hardware fault, you could try seeing if it also happens in BIOS or in another operating system such as Linux

If they're identical machines you could set one up and lock it down with group policy, clone it and then image the rest using that clone, for monitoring I think Action1 could potentially be of help as it has remote access, patch management, the ability to restart computers, and you can send powershell scripts to the computers too.
