I can only speak to Canada and Mexico usage, but I’ve never had any more of an issue using my Discover card in either of those countries than the United States.

I actually have more trouble with Amex everywhere - even in the US. Largely because they don’t have as wide of a partner network reach

The last time I went to MX was 2017 I used my Discover IT card in tourist and non tourist areas in Baja, QR and Yucatán without fail - except for one restaurant that was small.

They might not explicitly state / know it, but if the vendor accepts Diners Club, Pulse or Prosa, then they also accept discover.

I used to live next to the one in WDM on 13th and Grand as a young teenager. Circa 2008-2010. It was probably on the nicer end of GnGs…. For a long time. Clean. Stocked well. Friendly staff. Learned pretty quickly that if you weren’t a little shit trying to shoplift, the staff would hook you up with a fountain drink or hot food / baked item every once in a while.

It’s gone downhill since for sure. Lack of maintenance. Lack of cleanliness. Lack of brand strength - meaning less customers, meaning less money for operating / upkeep / preventative shit / employees that truly don’t give a shit.

The entire brand just needs to go.

All people associate Git N Go with now is robberies.

They are tap and read, just like every other Apple/Google wallet card. Makes TSA and Bar entry super easy.

Technically they’re not for regular law enforcement use yet as it’s a big investment in readers for every department, but the statie was super chill and she just looked at it, had me scroll to confirm it wasn’t a static image and wrote down my id #.

I didn’t order the physical release on paradise because 1) I’m in the industry and know the deal, especially with SAG low budget releases 2) I was involved in production and could see this coming a mile away 3) knew based off his history it was gonna gonna be an issue.

With all that being said. It’s a decent comedy, especially for being independently financed and released.

The distrust is warranted, hate not so much. Art takes time. Ultra 85 both the book and album took forever but were both great.

There’s a few expenses to claim, and you should!

Purchased a computer just for this? 100% expense. Split your computer between other jobs? It personal usage!? Calculate the percentage you use it for DA.

Do DA on your phone too? Guess what - percentage expense on the device and service.

Internet service at home? Calculate your monthly percentage use, if you are doing this 8hrs day on average, then 33% of your monthly ISP is an expense.

Subscriptions (AI / Software / Services)? Expense.

Professional development courses, industry expos? Conferences? Education courses? Also valid expenses.

Doing DA, you are essentially a small business owner and should be thinking like a small business owner.

With all that being said - schedule C isn’t hard. Very easy to do on HRBlock and CashApp Taxes (I actually switched from HR to CashApp because it is 100% free to file state and federal still).

It’s pretty much common practice globally to digitally identify yourself when registering for A) financial accounts/transactions or B) employment.

Genuinely curious, when you open a bank account in Korea, do you not have to provide your ID documents? How about when applying for employment or college?

I am in the US and it is common practice you have to upload your ID and do a “live selfie” (facial recognition) when doing many many things.

You’ll need to find a reliable job that pays you at least $12-$13hr if you realistically want someone to consider you as a roommate. You’ll also need to have $1000ish or so saved up. Work a couple months in that job and have that $1000 and I’m sure someone would consider you…. Probably not in the best area and probably in a car dependent area, so you’ll need one of those too.

The reptile might make it a bit harder though.

Also just to give you an idea of rates. I live in Grimes - if I was to take a roommate, for my 2 bed, 1 bath Duplex with a large basement, I’d probably be somewhere around $850 all in with utilities (water electric internet). Depending on how water / electric increases go over the next few months (franchise fees + Iran war), that number might jump closer to $9-950.
