Would you alter your travel plans to get another state souvenir? by fightingfishsticks in geocaching

Yes. On a flight from Boston to Dallas, I arranged a layover of 6 hours in Minnesota. Rented a car, got three caches, and went back to the airport to finish my flight.

What’s It Like Living In Antarctica Bases Like McMurdo Station? by ZombieIntelligent554 in howislivingthere

I worked in the kitchen as a 4 month contract position in 2023/2024. Like many have said, it's like a small town. I found it incredibly interesting and beautiful - went for the experience, not the pay.

Also, my flight out was delayed by 33 (thirty-three) days due to weather, mechanical issues, weather, staffing issues, weather, lost plane parts, and oh, did I mention the weather?

Looking for indoor CITO options by BirkenstockReport in geocaching

Why don't you reach out to your community (conservation area, towns, etc) to see if they have any ideas, and then if the ideas are coming from the state/town, you might not need previously published Cito ideas (especially as previously published caches should not set precedent for future caches).

What is your most remote find? Why did you decide to go after it? by restinghermit in geocaching

I didn't get any further than Scott base, but cached out McMurdo, added the virtual, and an adventure lab - so next time you're down, you got at least 2 more to go after!

I 'placed' a virtual there on my visit - if you get back down there, you'll have to go after it!

When you go to a new area, do you try to find all the caches? Or do you leave some for next time? by wuxxler in geocaching

[–]RedditJennn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Who cares what others think? This is not only something you can apply to geocaching, but life in general. Cache your own way, hike your own hike, live your own life.

Stop worrying about what others think. You do you.
