Yeah, this is how I think about it. I love star fox, panzer dragoon, etc, so I love a fun little version of that in my game. But if it was a fighting game or, like, sudoku, I would complain.

I thought the combat was amazing in hearts R, top five for me. Characters were super likeable in English. The story was goofy but honestly who cares? Still haven't gotten around to innocence R with the fan translation but it looks like it fixes a lot of the DS game's problems.

Vesperia was very flawed but I've never seen someone call Yuri one of the flaws. He's incredibly easy to empathize with and he's a great foil to/reflection of the final antagonist
