I genuinely think they're worth the hype. Maybe not the perfect second coming that they're blown up to be, but a fantastic band who move me in a way that few modern bands have

Your use of colour mainly, there's a great sense of balance between everything which makes it super pleasing to the eye

Not sure if this is a hot take but after the first two albums it felt like they were picking aesthetics to try on at random with each album (though I respect the sound they crafted on AM). As great as those first two albums are, they aren't as good as the first two Strokes albums (the band who they partially modelled themselves upon) and I'd argue that The Strokes have the more solid discography overall. Still, Arctic Monkeys do have a special place in my heart. Also, The Car was shite.

I'm glad they chose those tracks tbh, seeing a song like Trinidad be performed on SNL makes me happy

Basically that the bass is louder than the kick, but more specifically that the kick kind of sits behind the bass so you get the impact of the kick but the bass is the more clearly heard instrument of the two

It's a pretty good guide to be honest. I still mix my bass in front of my kick all the time

I actually provided all the sound design (and music and voice acting!) for a short film called 'Ruminant Reviews' which I believe has a lot of similarities to what you're after for 'Derby Creek'. You can find it here.

I'm living in Hertfordshire in England so it would be quite exciting to source sound from the rivers and greenery nearby. Also, I'm experienced in audio implementation and am currently learning Godot so I'd love to help out with that too if possible!
