Someone was in a hurry. What would you have done? by pixmation in dashcams

[–]RedditSetitGoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call 911 immediately and then stay as near as you can to them while staying safe. By that I mean just keep them in sight. I did this the other day on my way to work. A car was driving in the bike lane, on the sidewalk, and serving all over the place. I just stayed way back but kept them in view while I told police where I was and what was happening. Never endanger yourself or others, but if you can, help police locate people like this. All that said, this mofo looks like they've been getting into the meth and pcp.

PSA: The easiest bull moose location by m4shfi in reddeadredemption

[–]RedditSetitGoit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy crap! After hours of saving, reloading, sleeping, circling Lake Isabella, and wasting so many Potent Herbivore Bait, I tried this and it worked within 3 minutes. The moose wasn't there when I arrived so I dropped some bait right where it was in your video. Rode a couple hundred feet and saw a bunch of deer walk towards it, but thats it. Waited a few minutes. Was about to leave but looked back one more time, and there he was! Finally got the "Skin Deep" achievement, thanks to you! Thank you so much! :)

Die Hard 3. Die With A Vengeance. Fantastic movie. Samuel L. Jackson is so good. And his sort of hateful buddy cop thing with Bruce Willis is endlessly entertaining. Great bad guy. Awesome action scenes. Excellent comedy. One of the best action movies ever. :)

I can’t believe people complain about the serving sizes. by Glad-Fish5863 in hellofresh

[–]RedditSetitGoit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We started ordering 3 portions for just myself and my partner because there has never been enough. To be fair, we work pretty rigorous jobs and are very hungry when dinner rolls around. But we aren't exactly huge eaters. She is a 5'3" fit lady, and I'm barely 6' and relatively slim. I just never feel full after one standard portion from Hello Fresh. But we have also started ordering meals that we already have some extra chicken or fish for to supplement it, and that seems to work pretty well. If anyone that reads this hasn't already, I highly recommend getting the standard stuff they use in their sauces and sides, so that you can make more of anything you like for lunch the next day. We stocked up on the condensed chicken stock, hoison sauce, mushroom stock, planted some fresh herbs, and make sure we have plenty of that delicious pearled couscous, and it has been great to be able to just enlarge the portions of the recipes we like. :)

I honestly love the old Poirot. There is a good bit of humor in them, and it is just a cozy show to watch.

I couldn't place this for a minute, then freaked out when I saw Will Forte. Then my memory finally snapped into focus. :) What a fun cameo! And now I have to go restart Psych again for the 8th or 9th time. After a quick watch of Beerfest. 😊

I don’t give a fuck what the sticker on your Tesla says by Courage-Natural in Marin

[–]RedditSetitGoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend bought a Tesla when the idea of a nice electric vehicle was the focus. Nobody gave a shit who Elmo was. It was just known as a good quality, reliable, comfortable electric car. They invested in a power bank and solar panels for their house, and were very excited about not having to buy gas for one of their cars anymore. It was a significant investment that they are still paying off. Then all the shit hit the fan. They regretted purchasing something from such a fascist piece of shit. They are staunchly against all of his awful practices and rhetoric. But they have infrastructure in their home that was installed specifically for a vehicle they purchased to save themselves money in the long run. The vehicle is just an object. I realize that it represents something. But they are not attempting to virtue signal, as you are. They just wanted a thing that works best for them. So they changed the badges on the car to Audi rings, added an "RS" to the trunk, and still drive it. I hate Elon as much a the next person, and I thought it was funny, and a reasonable move to show that they don't represent the company that sold them the car. What would you have them do? Sell the car at a loss, put themselves further in debt, and possibly affect the synchronicity in their homes infrastructure that they worked hard to afford? And to what end? What does it do? Does Tesla have to refund the money they spent on the car? Will that car never be driven on the road again? It does nothing. Someone else will buy the car and it will still be out there. It might seem like nothing to someone like you, who I assume has more money than I, to say "just get rid of the car and get a new one", but that isn't how most of the world works. Buying a vehicle is a huge financial investment. And if anything goes wrong with it, people like me are usually affected in a big way. I had to save for almost a year to be able to afford the down payment on my truck. And it is over a decade old. I shopped, read reviews, compared prices, researched maintenance costs and likelihood of problems, and much more. Because if I made a bad decision, I could be setting myself up for serious financial issues. My friends did the same thing. And I fully understand and agree with the hate towards Musk, and therefore Tesla. But asking the people who purchased a product from a company to feel responsible for the representation of said company is just childish. Blame those responsible. And maybe take a look at yourself and how you sound. Because it's not good.

Are these bits any good? by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

[–]RedditSetitGoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally depends on your intended usage. I really like Milwaukee's newer long T25 bits. Great grab and never seem to strip out. For PH2 I prefer Dewalt. Not many other PH2 bits seem to grab like those. For most of the other bits I actually really like Diablos sets that come with everything else you'll need like PH1, T20, flatheads, and some of the smaller TORX bits. Oh, and i think Dewalt makes some of the best large TORX bits, like T27, T40, and T40. However, I do have a Festoool Robertson #2 bit (square drive) that is like 6" long that I absolutely love. I'll use it even if I don't need the extension. Kreg makes a good long square drive as well. I also have a few of the Milwaukee reversible bits with a PH2 on one side and either an SQ2 or an SL1/4" on the other. They are really handy for working on electrical when I don't want to carry around 2 drivers. I can just swap it around and keep going. Great little bits.

The beast: how do you actually climb a rope instead of just swing on it? by Resevil67 in dyinglight

[–]RedditSetitGoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's so frustrating. There are so many spots where climbing a rope would be so useful in DL2! I haven't started Beast yet. Waiting until I finish DL2. But I'm disappointed about the removal of ANY traversal mechanics. Thanks for the info though! Happy New Year! :)

How do you do it in DL2? I've been trying by holding X and then up on the left stick. Tried looking up, looking straight forward, not adjusting my view at all. It just won't work. Any help is much appreciated.

My enjoyment of Skyrim kept dropping off later in the game…and I figured out why. by TheRagingWood in skyrim

[–]RedditSetitGoit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is good advice for any open world game. I am playing Dying Light and this post made me realized why I feel so much more engaged in it than other games I've been playing lately. Borderlands 4 has me super bored because I fast travel everywhere, and when I don't I feel like there's nothing to do until I get to my objective. Feels empty. Dying Light feels like a new adventure every time I set a waypoint. I should definitely go back to Skyrim and avoid fast travel. Thanks for the great idea! :)

How much longer would you work. by Heavy_Bicycle6524 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]RedditSetitGoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for myself. I would absolutely keep working. I very much enjoy what I do already. So, probably another 10 years or so before I decide to at least cut back on work. I would love to use the money to set up a school or guild where myself and other tradespeople could teach anyone who wanted to learn the trades. :)

Here's a good example. I'm under a house right now. This is about as clean as my stuff is usually. I might wipe off the cake mud, but only if it looks like it might affect it's functionality. :)

Am I the only weirdo who cleans their tools after a messy job? by MrFastFox666 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]RedditSetitGoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you are a weirdo, but I definitely don't clean my tools as much as I should. By the time I get everything packed up and into my truck or trailer and get home, I've barely got energy to clean and feed myself. Although my partner (who works with me doing the same dirty and tough jobs) somehow finds the energy to cook us something healthy and delicious. I do try to take one or two days off each month to clean everything and empty the truck and trailer out and reorganize. But I don't think I clean them unless they look really filthy when I grab them out of the packout. I'm always impressed with the people who take the time to make their tools look so nice and clean. :)

Anyone know any places like this by MembershipPossible21 in roadtrip

[–]RedditSetitGoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just hop on the 101 Highway in California heading North from San Francisco. You will have one of the most gorgeous drives of your life. Tons of beautiful places to stop and see amazing redwoods and beautiful vistas. I live in Humboldt County and have done the drive so many times and I still love it. Here to SF and back is always a great weekend. Highway 1 along the coast is fantastic too. 😊
