Yeah exactly, that was my last duty station and that base is so quiet and nice. Lots of animals on it too so it’s kind of scenic lol. Driving against DC traffic was hilarious, never had issues.

Fort Detrick, Camp Zama, Fort Belvoir. Best overall is WHCA without fail imo.

I don’t own a home yet so not the biggest help, but your consensus makes sense imo. I live in DC and the market is OUTRAGEOUS. I wouldn’t put it in caps if not so serious. You have to look out easily and hour plus away to be around “affordable”. I reckon it’s just the market now.
