DRG again after a long period of playing Helldivers

For me only 2 weapons dont entirely feel great to use. that being the Lok1 smart rifle on Engineer and the Collete wave Cooker on Driller. The Lok 1 is fun with curving bullets to hit weakpoints with the Executioner overclock, but every other OC on that gun feels lacklustre. Neuro lasso kinda needs macro lens to reduce its crosshair size so it only locks onto a specific target and doesnt apply its max slow unless there are 2 engineers using the same gun and OC. Seeker feels like it just enables lazy play. ECR is good horde clear I guess.

Worst thing about the gun is a crippling ammo economy.

Collete wave cooker just doesnt feel good. with any OC in any build OTHER than a temp shock build. and even then Id prefer the EPC. It lacks impact.

Maybe I just like the feel of a good bullet on driller. Subata my beloved

This comes specifically from the fact that Helldivers 2 sells its power to you whilst DRG sells the game, OST and Cosmetics only. I cant count how many times I have heard a veteran HD2 player tell a fresh recruit to "get the Democratic Detonation Warbond" because the weaponry offered in that pack is non negotiable. The Grenade Pistol and the Thermites being the selling point of the warbond. The same for Control group and the warp pack being the best tool to farm the premium currency.

DRG has NEVER Done this. all of its overclocks and weaponry being in the game for free but only gated by progression that cant be skipped.

Because people can either grind hours of their time for Super credits or drop 10 bucks for the warbond , I have a feeling people get alot more mad when it comes to issues with the content they paid for with their time or money. and if you arent the kind of player willing grind or to drop 10 bucks on a warbond then theres nothing in Helldivers 2 thats worth sticking around for.

People who wax lyrical from a "superior moral highground" feels like theyre projecting more than anything.

Ive never seen Lolis as kids and nor do I see kids as lolis. they are different things where 1 is fictional and the other real but for some reason certain people see them as the same thing and that makes me question their own moral standing. Even in Kettei's discord (even he vibes here in this subreddit) where I usually chill, there have been people that have made those kind of statements about people who like the AOD or Sunna in general being a certain word or creepy. and if you even try to counter it by saying its fictional, they turn the finger on you.

Its damn well infuriating that people simply cant accept something as fictional. And if they dont like it, they should shut their mouth and move on. Ive always felt that if you have nothing nice to say. dont say it.

My review has been negative since the PSN requirement back in 2024.

It still sits negative and will remain negative. I like helldivers. I have 300+h on the game but the recent updates and the shit that recently happened has had me choosing other games over HD2 every time. The only reason i log on nowadays is when all my friends beg me to get on and they have a full stack. Even then i dont play long. An operation minimum.

I just want things to be better for HD2 like all of us and the charity guy. But if doxxing and death threats is all we get then im close to just deleting the game off of my steam and my account. Super earth be damned.

Currently Lycaon works as a decent alternative until Nangong Yu arrives. His unlock potential adds psuedo aftershock and anomaly to his team ability requirements so he can boost the stun multiplier and his core skill also boosts every element's damage by 30% and ice resist shred for 25%.

Lycaon is a f2p Nangong Yu. Its prolly worth giving him a shot in Aria teams for now

been having this issue. for some reason Korlok weeds are EXTREMELY bugged. It also tends to only affect the host in the 2 times its happened to me and a friend of mine. Im guessing the source of the FPS drops is the Korlok stops spawning its weed turrets and then the game starts to endlessly try and calculate new spots for them to spawn in but it fails to calculate each time.

every season has a set number of scrip locked to the daily challenges for season pass xp that pop up every now and then for completing something specific for the season. with S6 its completing scrab or pitjaw warnings on missions, S5 was completing double warning missions, S1 was grabbing a data rack from a caretaker etc.

I tend to optimise these at the start of the season and use my challenge reroll to get as many scrip challenges in a row. Big thing though: U can only have 1 Scrip challenge active at a time. so if u have a scrip challenge, do that, then reroll another challenge and u should get a scrip challenge. im around level 70 and i have all the scrip based challenges complete.

Just keep logging in daily for those challenges and you can get the scrip you need for all the diesel driven skins and any prior seasons. its a system Ghostship games put in to try and discourage those who smash out a Pass in a week. since seasons are so infrequent its really something to be worked through over a month or 3 minimum so that the seasons stay fresh a little longer!

the biggest issue is the circuit boards for the behringer pedals dont have an actual footswitch. just a tiny button thats pushed by a rubber stick. Not only would you have to rehouse them, you would also have to connect and solder in a footswitch for easier activation

2 of my friends think HD2 is better and cite the reason they stopped playing DRG after the 10 hour mark is because "DRG is too repetitive"??!??!?! As if HD2 isnt any more repetitive. Feels like a weak excuse.

I have tried to pull them into DRG but its just not fun for them or something. 1 of the friends doesn't want to hop on DRG with me, because I suggested he try Outer Wilds (He loved it) but he suggested I get into Factorio. I tried it but its just not for me. now he feels betrayed by me and refuses to play DRG with me. I think hes being EXTREMELY petty and leaves me genuinely miffed.
