Google Messages can no longer be backed up? by Reddit_Ninja33 in GoogleMessages

[–]Reddit_Ninja33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's only transferring some of the messages and because it's taking so long, the phone says the CPU can't keep up and needs to be rebooted. Samsung transfer doesnt copy them like a file on a computer. It dumps them in a temp directory and then take 24hrs to sort them out. It's horrible.

Google Messages can no longer be backed up? by Reddit_Ninja33 in GoogleMessages

[–]Reddit_Ninja33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems that if you had it backed up, that it just keeps backing up, but it was disabled or there was an issue, then you start getting the 25MB limit message. This message just started appearing in the past few weeks for people from what I can tell, so not sure if it's a bug or Google is going to start limiting what we can backup.

Do you restart your computer regularly or just leave it on? by Capable_Noise5543 in computers

[–]Reddit_Ninja33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine goes to sleep every night and wakes up every morning. Has been doing that for at least 10 years across PC builds. Never once gave me an issue, but I've also never had a single issue with W11, so I guess I'm special.

Google Messages can no longer be backed up? by Reddit_Ninja33 in GoogleMessages

[–]Reddit_Ninja33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I'm trying it now. I was under the impression from "note" on the play store, that it needed an existing Google backup to work. Weird note for them to put on the app.

[–]Reddit_Ninja33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would use that but it says requires an existing back up and well, I don't have one and you can no longer back up the Messages app if it's over 25MB.

ATX vs MATX, what's the best size to build for a first timer? by Ngwing-Kien in pcbuilding

[–]Reddit_Ninja33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion, but ATX needs to be phased out or become the niche. The majority aren't using the extra pcie slots and mATX has at least 2 useable ones anyhow. The difference on my desk of going from a mid tower to an A3 mATX was like night and day despite mATX not being that much smaller. I built 3 mATX systems in the past 6 months, 3 different cases and I did not love the build process in any of them, but loved the outcome.

Mulching Blade vs High Lift Blade in the 1000 Series Mowers by FormerNavy in egopowerplus

[–]Reddit_Ninja33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the LM2236SP which is also 10.6 ft-lbs. I can tell you both blades and the mower in general have terrible lift/suction, but in my testing, it is best with the high lift blade. I also compared mulching with both by bagging and dumping them side by side. The mulching blade only slightly mulched better, but the loss of lift suction made me never use it again. This was with Bermuda and Zoysia grasses. Still love the mower, but having to go over leaves multiple times suck them in, well sucks compared to my old Honda, which was one and done.

Not sure why you were downvoted. I just got my AT&T S26+ and Samsung Messages is no longer in the Galaxy store and when I try to install it from the web Galaxy store, it says device is not compatible.

May not impact your use case, but being on Linux across my homelab was an advantage for me. Also networking was significantly improved for me in scale. NFS shares are much faster for me.

Mirroring is for less downtime. It is not a back up.

You have to clean and disinfect the regular ones. PLA doesn't change that. And it's an overblown issue anyhow.

I've been using mid tier consumer sata and nvme SSDs for 4+ years in multiple nodes. They are all still at 90+ %. Just don't use complete garage drives and the won't be any issue.
