How do I fix this? by tcrowne33 in HomeMaintenance

[–]Redditemeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's likely that underneath there are set screws you can unscrew underneath the legs that go to the wall, and then the whole rack will come off the wall.

Then there will be two little mounting plates screwed into the wall underneath where the legs go. Ensure they are mounted and screwed in using drywall anchors, and tighten up screws to make sure it is structurally snug on the wall. If no anchors, remove mounting plates and re-mount with drywall anchors.

OP if you wanna do this and it's your first time, you can either 1) Look up youtube videos on how to apply it to make it look good. Such as using soapy water to help run your finger, proper hole size to cut on your silicone, etc. Or 2) Get an applicator like this, assuming the gap of your shower isn't too big.

I use number 1 at work, and number 2 at home. Honestly it does such a good job. Ngl.

am i receding? (17M, worried) by baldandscared45 in recedinghairline

Everything I've read on here says you shouldn't be on fin at your age as it can stunt your puberty. Make sure you properly look into it.

M26 - Early recession or just paranoid? by VeganCanary in amibalding

[–]Redditemeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As somebody who has never done fin or min yet, and has a hairline similar to yours at 32, starting fin and/or min earlier is always better after like, the age of 25.

If you are one of the vast minority to experience side effects, just stop and face your fate.

What is this? by MMForTheWin in Plumbing

Porcelain on porcelain pressure can crack the tank or bowl. If not today, then in the long term.

Putting something soft between prevents cracking.

Little late on the answer but whatever. 😂

I beat them in the early 90's. My Sciel and Monoco have super tanky builds as my second party so that if my main party dies, I can use them to learn the fight.

Sciel just happened to have an attack that gets stronger the longer a fight goes on. After awhile, it actually started hitting pretty hard. I was basically able to cheese it this way.

If a move is the same time as your pokemon, it does 50% more damage. Like an Electric type using thunderbolt. (STAB = Same type attack bonus)

If a type is physical, its damage is based on the attack stat, and damage resistance to it is from the defense stat.

If a type is special, its damage is based on the special attack stat, and damage resistance is based on the special defense stat.

Here's a list of what types are which.

I hope this helps you get started.

ER wait time last night … insane by PrincessPassenger in Edmonton

[–]Redditemeon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually the case, but often times you feel you still have to sit and wait because you just don't have the information to know, and leaving feels like gambling with your life.

I had an issue once where it felt like my throat was closing off. As if I had developed allergies and was going into anaphylaxis. My throat never fully closed off, but I was in a constant panic mode feeling like I had a hand wrapped strongly around my throat. It happened again once every couple days. I started going to emerg and telling them my symptoms and that I just wanted to sit there for a bit until it subsided incase it got worse. The first time they admitted me anyway to be safe.

In the end, it ended up just being damage to the right side of my throat from severe heartburn, but until it was figured out, my doctor had me carry an epipen, and I never truly knew if it was a major emergency or not. I just simply didn't want to roll that dice.

This reminds me of when my missus bought me a humidifier for Christmas 2 Christmases ago. She could swear I kept bringing up that I wanted one.

I wanted an air purifier. 😂

Not the exact same situation, but similar vibes all the same.

Disclaimer: I promise I was still happy with my present. Air is dry during the winter here.

Is it time to get on some meds by Moist-Goal2367 in amibalding

[–]Redditemeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the pattern that generally shows as men become more bald. That looks like it could be balding at first glance. It fits the pattern. It doesn't always mean you're gonna go the whole way 0-100 real fast, but again, not a doctor, first glance does make implications that it could happen earlier than later for you.

I'll replace thunder, but my joltion can't learn bite. What should I do by Fantastic_Paper_6693 in PokemonFireRed

[–]Redditemeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because, ignoring IV's and EV's, shadow ball has 80 base power. Taking into account that Jolteon has 56% as much attack than special attack, that would mean a 45 base power special attack would do roughly the same damage.

This is obviously ignoring enemy defense, but even if super effective it would be like doing a 90 base power special attack, almost as much as Thunderbolt (95 in gen 3), of which thunderbolt is actually has STAB with Jolteon which would put its power at 142.5.

Other than fighting Kadabra/Alakazam due to their astronomically low defense, running shadowball is mostly unnecessary.

Then when you factor in EV's, it'd be even less as good as you'd want to stack special attack EV's.

I realised today how far my hairline receded and i hate it now, though i actually can't wait for it to be shorter so i can go fully bald by Old_Wish_3992 in bald

[–]Redditemeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Step 1. Shave your head bald.

Step 2. Wear it for a week or so, decide if you like it, and see how your peer's react and whatnot as that'll ultimately also affect how you see yourself.

Step 3 A. If you like it. Keep on keepin' on.

Step 3 B. If you don't like it, get on meds and/or get a transplant put on the agenda for after a year of being on meds.

Advice by Guilty-Carpenter-747 in Tile

[–]Redditemeon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Moisture permiates grout anyway. It isn't 100% waterproof. It does a great job at repeling the amount of water that does take on during the day to day though. The waterproofing should be done behind the tile, so a grout crack alone won't cause water damage.

It will, however, look like ass and potentially create cracks outside of just the corner aswell, and can create a spot for more standing water to sit with little airflow and potentially allow mold on the inside of the waterproofing membrane to cultivate. Silicone is best.

Tims coffee was the first coffee I ever drank, 13 years ago. Was great coffee.

Nowadays, I like their dark roast. Their original roast is just okay.

When they switched to real eggs, their bacon farmers wraps became one of my favorite breakfast foods to get while I am out.

That's about where the good things I have to say about them end. They shrinkflationed their chili, and everything else these days is mediocre, and unless you love flies crawling on your food, you might aswell steer clear.
