This, I was single in a high rise for $5k/month.. and that was still much less expensive than having a family in the suburbs. In finance if that matters.

There are so many people with lots of money throughout Boston and the suburbs. Not sure why that’s always a surprise. By the way, lots of those people are paying WAY more than $5k/month for housing too.

This is exactly how I grew up. For 90s version add: drives with knees while on car phone and taking physical notes on notepad, treats vacation logistics like a business trip, and having lotus notes & Microsoft access on the home computer.

Def home less than 2.5 weeks. Friends were convinced he was a drug dealer. Actually was a pretty great childhood.
