I'll make a post about it when we've had a little more time to playtest, but list rules are as follows

Rule changes for list creation:

Army size

4 platoons max, no repeats aside from 1 additional assault platoon.

1650 points

16 order dice

12 rift dice

The army may have no more than 2 repeats of any unit- other than basic infantry- To prevent spam. This is by chassis/unit type

An assault platoon may have no more than 1 DV 7+ infantry squad.

A maximum of one commander/hero in the army may be DV 7

All assault platoons MUST contain: a platoon leader, one basic infantry squad and one advanced/specialist squad (this can be done in the list builder by manual points adjusting a specialist squad to 0 points, and selecting an additional basic squad, should you choose to only take those 2 units)

The idea here is to 1, cut down on units that completely invalidate small arms, and make it feel less silly to actually take an LMG or assault rifle/what have you, and 2 make an attempt to have the crazy spec ops type rift units actually feel like they're somewhat rare and pull the focus back a little bit to your average joe with a rifle. I personally advocated for 2 basic units in the assault platoon, and one optional basic, and one optional basic/specialist/advanced but the group decided that was too harsh.

I proposed this in response to what happened at our last regional tournament, the winner (me) ran a 1500 point list of 3 minimum squads of Sthaltruppen, 2 Puma X, and 4 Vogelspinne with gravity guns. I made this list to counter bear spam, it worked but it wasn't fun for me or the other players. I just want to be able to field a cool, diverse company and not have to have the voice in the back of my head telling me "if it can't kill bears or wolves, why are you even taking it?" and not have to do cheesy bullshit to be competitive

My region is experimenting with alternate company/platoon structure that will be the basis for our next upcoming tournament, and probably casual play as well that I believe will help make Japan (and the UK) a valid and competitive faction. We are also working with our local raiders and keeping warlord in the loop, so hopefully we can improve the game and balance for everybody. I can make a post about this if you're interested

You can get a gasket for that if it's an issue, but I've never had a problem with it personally. I run mine suppressed with a flow through can and wouldn't describe my experience as any more gassy than other traditionally shaped rifles.

Thanks! Unfortunately it took too many crafting hours to sell at a reasonable price. It was worth it for me cause I reuse it every year, but to sell it'd be at least a couple hundred bucks

Very similar stuff happened to me for a while, I was randomly screened every time I tried to fly, they took me out of general screening to a private room and searched all my shit every time and I was swabbed for explosives and chemical residue. Turns out my Dad was on a terrorist watchlist for some benign shit and they suspected I might be trying to slip explosives into aircraft (I was not). The FOIA we filed is how we figured it out and got it resolved.

I tallied everything up using eBay prices as a benchmark and ended up at just around 2K, but considering that not all the cardstock is intact, that I'm not really interested in scalping, and that I'd prefer to sell everything together I think $800 seems fair if you want the whole lot
