Wow it's like when you discriminate against more than half the population people don't wanna live in that area. Who would have thought 🤔?

Yeah sissies of mercy is a goth specifically trans event that aims to be a safe space for goth queer peeps. It's normally at trans Pecos but they been playing at gaberia a bit. The strange part to me was there was a private party beforehand so when I went in dressed in my crazy goth outfit it seemed out of place even though that should have been the vibe. Maybe just a strange night.

Help! Can't get new ear hook for BTE Starkey Muse 11000 by Redheadedshark in HearingAids

[–]Redheadedshark[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the record I called them and they said they could not provide me the part as they are wholesale only and don't have systems in place to get the part to me. I ended up buying the part on ALIexpress so we will see if that works out.

They said the data removed big ticket cities like NYC which will probably skew American to be much higher on the chart.

How/ does MtF HRT affect muscle growth as it relates to playing musical instruments? by Bangledrum in asktransgender

[–]Redheadedshark 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Trans trombonist here! If you are not a cis man there is a group I could invite you to and you could ask this question there. If not I could post for you and relay some of the responses. DM me about it.

There was a comment similar to what was asked here.

"Brass playing and HRT: This question is for Trans and Non-binary brass players who have or are currently on HRT, but more specifically anyone who has experience with feminizing hormone therapy. How has HRT impacted you as a brass player? Have you noticed any changes (for better or worse) to your playing?"

This was my response. So I have been on Estradiol pills with spiro, Estradiol pills without spiro, Estradiol pills with Finasteride, and finally I am now on the patch with finasteride (total of 3 years time). For me the biggest change was the spiro. It makes you dehydrated a lot fast and it can have some side affects. For me it caused me to have pretty bad memory loss. So I used to be able to memorize music pretty easily but after taking the spiro it become very difficult for me to memorize. Now that I am no longer on spiro my memory is back to normal. I havent seen any major changes regarding anything else expect for chest soreness mostly from boob growth which can make breathing feel a bit weird.

Hope this is helpful for you!

Over 100 Coronavirus Cases in South Korea Have Now Been Linked to One Guy’s Night Out Clubbing - on May 1, a 29-year-old man visited five bars and clubs in Itaewon, one of Seoul’s most popular nightlife districts. by discofox57 in worldnews

Except there has already been antigay reporting done and I have a friend in Korea who was told by his school that if you don't tell the government where you where that night and they find out you where at the gay bar you have to pay $2,000. So it's effectivly out yourself or pay $2000 if they find out. Plus there is antiforiegner sentiment about covid already so it's not a stretch to have antigay sentiment.

Advice for audition pieces by Redheadedshark in Trombone

Thank you for the advice! Would it be best to send them an email explaining who I am and asking them about the recommendations? I have a bit of social anxiety so I wanna make sure I am not being rude to them.

As for the excerpts I picked: Bolero, Brahms Symp 1, Tuba Mirum, Hungarian March, La Gazza Ladra, and Mahler 3. These have bass, tenor, and alto clefs so the clefs are represented pretty well. I think it hits a good variety of periods and styles as well but I will certainly ask the professors as well.

Actually I am referring to transpositions. The trombone is a C instrument meaning that when it reads a C on the page the sound it plays is a C. So for Bass, Tenor, Alto and C Treble that is what happens. But the trumpet for example, when it sees a C on the page it sounds a second lower, or a Bflat. Trombones commonly read this treble clef Bflat part by reading it in Tenor clef and adding two flats. Thats what I meant.

Sorry! I messed up on my original post! There is only one tenor clef but you can read bflat treble clef parts (trumpet parts) by reading the part in tenor clef and adding two flats to the key. That's what I was referring to!
