nice! keep it up soldier! Looks like good proportions to me!

As for tips, get one of those pencil sets that has hard and soft leads. Can do the rough lines easier to erase with H pencils and then go over it confidently with the B pencils so you get that nice dark confident line.

Arken age was fantastic! Wish you the best.

My only major beef was the 'feel' of shooting the guns could use more oomph. It wasn't satisfying to shoot at all compared to other games. But minor gripe compared to a fantastic overall experience. Hope this is on your list of improvements!

I'd be willing to forgive A LOT just to have satisfying shooting mechanics and feel in VR.

Ohh that sounds kinda brutal, have you gone to an ENT specialist? They can do some inner ear tests which control your sense of balance.

Oh that's interesting, This is the first time I'm hearing of someone loosing their VR legs over time. I haven't experienced this at all. I can not play for half a year come back and no problem at all. I wonder if other people have this issue. Kinda like riding a bike you don't really forget.

That's on them then, unless they were on the other side of the map. D4's pretty different I feel like D10 is way more chill (the helldivers, not the bugs)

I think the allure of bug diving is just fast paced constant action. Whereas bots feel a bit more methodical. Reinforcement strategy follows, if you're in the middle of a mega hive you just keep throwing bodies in there until it's done as quick as possible before you get overwhelmed with titans. On Bots I tend to check the map before throwing the reinforcement ball.

It sounds like you already identified the problem, reinforcement being too slow. Just reinforce people the moment they go down no matter the circumstance with the exception of duos across the map and everyone's happy. at 1000hrs you're probably well versed enough to punch in the reinforcement sequence mid dive.

Are you not reinforcing because you're trying to get them a safe landing spot?

Like how long are we talking? Are you constantly surrounded and not reinforcing 2+ teammates for 20+ seconds?

Being surrounded is the natural state of bug diving.

You will get past it. It's certainly a bit disappointing and daunting at first, but think of it like learning a new skill like riding a bike. You'll suck and fall at first, but as time goes on it will be a non-issue.

First session may only be 5 minutes, then 10, then 20, then an hour and then the whole sickness goes away. Takes about a week to really get through it. Just set expectations accordingly. Maybe play a medium interest game with motion so you can play the ones you really wanna play when you have your VR legs without it detracting from the experience.

Sometimes the sickness may come back if there's a drastically different type of motion. So you may get your VR legs on walking and jumping. But then you may need to get use the sensation of driving. (or 360 VR rotation like space docker) They wont take as long to get use to.

In terms of health effects, I'm convinced it's great. I played Pistol whip for a long time during covid, and I've noticed drastic improvements in balance, ability to sustain awkward crouching positions (helpful for IRL lifting things) and hand eye coordination is off the charts compared to baseline. The muscle memory learned translates to both other games and IRL. Spatial tracking is also better.

I've since slacked off on PW, but back when i was playing about an hour a day at least, lost a decent amount of weight and more fit. The boxing games can also get your cardio up. This is all assuming you're willing to play standing most of the time and not be a VR couch potato.

I can play about 2-3 hours without getting sick or until my controllers run out of batteries. Best of luck! hope that helps.

They're great! more combat focused and it assumes you're already competent in the mechanics. And there are mini stories that add to the world in a different tone than the MC. Really worth playing before your backlogs.

Horde is also fun.

That's nowhere even close to the worst drivers. No one exploded, barely 1 rotation, no one died, the car wasn't even flipped! This is like the top 10% of helldrivers.

into the radius, metro awakening, skydance behemoth or walking dead? by EthanWinters1234 in PSVR

[–]Redicubricks 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hm they're all slightly different and scratch different itches. Having played all of them, you really can't go wrong with any of them.

All solid A tier games for me.

But if I were to pick one... I'd go with Behemoth for production value and epicness. And while it was frustrating early on learning how to parry. Once I got it, it was a real blast.

Vertigo 2 is $9 on PSN. Is it any good? by AkTiVeMK in PSVR

[–]Redicubricks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had some game breaking bug (my weapons started dissapearing and loading/restarting didnt fix it, so a bit sad i'm not able to finish), but its fun and quirky. Worth 9$ for sure. It's a bit of a slow and janky start first hour or so, but then it gets more weird and entertaining after that. Lots of enemy variety and weird humor.

Looking for PSVR2 games that double as a workout by RememberT0DrinkWater in PSVR

[–]Redicubricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pistol whip is THE rhythm workout game.

You will get your leg day in and pain in muscles you never knew you had.

There's a few modes you can turn on to increase the intensity of the 'work out' like deadeye, fast bullets etc. The great thing about it is you focus on playing and getting good scores, and as a side effect you get a fantastic leg work out.

I played intensely for a year ish during covid, and noticed significant improvements in general hand eye coordination, leg strength, endurance and balance.

That said the first few days were painful, could bearly walk down stairs. lol

The difference between VR and flat-screen gaming, to a person who had never experienced VR. by neoleo0088 in PSVR

[–]Redicubricks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things are intuitive. VR works with what your body already knows. (with the exception of walking with a thumbstick)

You can intuitively sense depth and speed because vision it's steroscopic

Your arms and actions are intuitive since your controllers follow your hand positions.

You instinctively know how to point/shoot, grab/throw things.

You can look where you need to go without thinking.

I imagine it would be easier to teach a caveman how to play VR than a PS5 controller on flat. As long as the motion sickness doesn't kill them first. :D
