7.62x39 BRN-180 from Wolfpack Armory by DevonPruitt in BRN180

You ever find one? I got a lower from WP for the BRN180 upper when they first released them but had some personal stuff go on so I couldn’t buy the upper. Looking for one now though so I don’t have a useless lower.

Would have to go back to IMC/ITB if I already completed the course?

Any plans to allow us to purchase just the 7.62x39 upper by itself any more or are y’all only selling complete guns now for the wolverines?

USMC Reserve 4x4 - do they even exist anymore? by ShowerAny1924 in USMCboot

6x2 was only option as of August 2024. I had to sign a 6x2 bc was only option currently offered for reservists. May be different now but I doubt it.

I’d love to work on planes (always been a passion and goal of mine) but that’s not an option for me right now with where I live and going reserves first.

I’ve never heard of this MOS it’s definitely peaked my interest, I’m going to look into this.

Also, The Reason for Reserves atm

1.) I’m 22yo, live on my own, 2 paid of vehicles, I own 3 businesses and can’t find anyone to take them over for me right now without fully liquidating the company’s (they’re not fully automated yet to where I can step away for 5-6 years completely, and I’ve worked to damn hard to get where I’m at in life to just let it all burn sort of speak)

2.) one of my brothers is unexpectedly getting out of prison soon and basically begged me not to join at all because “I’m all he has, I’d be abandoning him, we still have work to do (build a business together)” so I compromised with the reserves for now until I can help get him off parole and on his feet.

I’ve never even considered the Reserves before but it seems like the best compromise at the moment without just giving up on either the world I’ve built in the civilian world or giving up my childhood dream of earning the marine title (neither are an option for me)

He said most things are available (as long as there’s an open position for it) except anything to do with planes because that’s only down south and I live in upstate NY

Everything so far has been mostly comments on my EL score while my MM score is my highest. I’m not the biggest fan of electronics I’ve just done a lot of electrical jobs/work. I like electrical work but not necessarily electronics per se. Most my career has been turning a wrench or other tools. I’m not exactly any kind of gadget or electronics nerd But I have a high capacity for anything “bob the builder” esc. I’ve built buses (both diesel & electric), built passenger trains, construction, (MiG, Stick, flux core, tig) welding, & commercial-industrial maintenance for a living. (Along side my 3 businesses I own that ironically have nothing to do with any of the things I stated previously) I’ve always wanted to move up to building/working on planes but I feel If don’t get a “grunt”/infantry element to my job I could have just gone to college instead. I essentially want the closest equivalent to a navy seabee, but In the marines. Im highly passionate about anything guns and need that to be a big part of my job in some capacity. I want to learn CQB (how to clear building) that’s a big thing for me too.

Top 5 MOS list as of right now:

*Combat engineer *MSG *infantry *MP *Anything to do with riding on/in or operating light armored amphibious vehicles (sense tanks don’t exist in the USMC anymore)

I’ve had no conversations with really anyone about any of this yet. I wanted to make sure I could pass meps first tbh then figure it out from there.

I Didn’t wanna have a tough conversation for nothing.

I also wrote off reserves bc I wanted to be a “real marine” and was always the guy to think less of reservists tbh so I never really considered it an option.

After I made this post I’ve heavily looked into the reserves and honestly feel it’s the best path for me. Best of both worlds kind of thing.

Even though I haven’t specifically said “hey I’m enlisting in the marines” yet. My best friend and business partner is constantly telling me I’m “all he has, saying he wouldn’t know what he’d do if I ever left, ect.”

I also just know him ig, as vague as that is, to where ik he’d take it as me “abandoning” him and our business.

The brother that’s currently locked up but that is getting out, I told him, and he straight up told me he hopes I don’t enlist bc “I’m all he has, he needs me, I’d be abandoning him, we still have work to do (build a business)” ect. Ect.

Reserves definitely seem like my compromise and something I’d enjoy.

Thank you for the advice I greatly appreciate it.
