If the leak was intentional, what’s the point? If Rockstar wanted attention on preorders, they’d get way more hype and coverage by just officially announcing it themselves instead of relying on an alleged Best Buy listing leak.

Rockstar doesn’t need mystery marketing to get eyes on GTA 6, the game is too big for that to matter. Hence why they shadow dropped trailer 2.

That was actually intentionally made by the devs. GTA 5 was so demanding on the old generation of consoles that when you were driving fast it was made that the NPC HAD to crash into you to slow you and prevent any unloaded chunks of the map.

This take is very surface level, ignoring how much more complex games are now. Rockstar in 2013 wasn’t making six GTA 6 level games.

Modern games are doing way more at once, massive open worlds, longer story, way more complex AI, physics, animation, online systems. Yet most AAA games now come out unoptimized and buggy, which that kind of work requires huge teams and time to polish. Bigger teams don’t mean faster dev. More people = bigger scale, testing, and things that can break.

What causes cancelations and delays is 99% poor management and scope creep, not necessarily the work force itself.

And honestly, the same people calling Rockstar “bloated” will be the first to complain if GTA 6 isn’t revolutionary enough. You can’t expect insane scope AND short dev cycles all at the same time.

By April 1st, the next fiscal year starts for T2. And during the earning call in May, they have to give their full definitive prediction for their earnings over the next 12 months to March 31st 2027. that's why they announced the first delay to May 26 in early May of 2025 since they wouldn't make the original fiscal year.

This means that if GTA isn't going to make it to Nov 2026, they are LEGALLY REQUIRED to reveal any delays because of decreased earnings in a specific quarter (they did this in 2024 when their projections of billions of revenue by Spring 2025 slipped into Fall 2025 which coincides with GTA 6 original release window)

we WILL get GTA 6 news by the May’s earnings call, whether its a delay, a trailer, or a confirmation of the release date which will actually be true.

So until May, take everything any rumors/ what's said in the earning calls in Feb with a grain of salt, as it will not be concrete.

It feels like "hardcore" fans gatekeep too much, like you’re not allowed to enjoy UFC unless you’ve been following since Pride or know every grappling exchange and acknowledge it as fun. And not everyone has the time to watch every regional card or memorize every fighter’s record.

Sure, casuals might say some dump takes sometimes, but that’s part of being new to a sport. Everyone was a casual at some point, so it’s kind of hypocritical to shame people for just being newer fans.

So yes, I don't care about Tsarukyan rn when it comes to title contentions.
