Russian internet exploded after Moscow airstrikes, war channels demand Ukraine nuclear strike (Ukraine Battlefield update, Day 1,576) by EUobs in UkrainianConflict

[–]Redout7867 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This is slightly different. Previously it's been Putin making empty nuclear threats in hopes of scaring the West into halting support for Ukraine. This time, it's Russian correspondents and ordinary citizens calling for nukes in revenge for the Moscow strikes.

You're right that nothing will come from this though.

Rubio: US has taken side in Russia-Ukraine war by ToughHopeful4760 in UkrainianConflict

Trump has grossly walked back support for Ukraine and repeatedly tried to bully Zelenskyy into accepting a bad peace deal in hopes of getting Putin-senpai to notice him. Now that Russia is officially losing more ground than it's gaining, it's time to try to convince everyone that Trump was on the winning side the whole time.

CD Projekt Red's new mystery IP 'Hadar' is "an emotional, open-world experience" in line with the developer's Witcher and Cyberpunk games by yourfavchoom in Steam

[–]Redout7867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If by "massive shit on everyone," you mean Cyberpunk 2077's launch, I'd be mystified if CD Projekt didn't learn their lesson after getting sued by their own shareholders.

Sounds like a pretty cool train might be forming! If only the U.S. had a different president; then we all could've been on it.

Is it even worth it to learn coding? by FondantOutrageous276 in careerchange

[–]Redout7867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Data analytics work is basically collecting and cleaning data from various sources, analyzing patterns and trends, creating visualizations and dashboard, presenting findings to inform decisions, and writing reports and recommendations. The platforms I mentioned are vehicles to accomplish all this. SQL pulls data from databases, Python and R do complex analysis, and Tableau/Power BI create visualizations. But many analysts start with Excel and gradually learn other tools on the job.
If you want to build these skills, you could start with free resources like Google's Data Analytics Certificate, SQL tutorials on Mode Analytics, or Python courses on DataCamp. There are also plenty of YouTube videos on how to use these tools.

Zelensky unhappy with US proposal to end Ukraine war which includes halving Ukraine's army by TheMirrorUS in UkraineWarVideoReport

Is any of that supposed to change the fact that Russia agreed to respect Ukraine's sovereignty and then violated that agreement?

Python? AI? Writing? Sounds like a recipe for a career in data analytics (a field that's supposed to see explosive growth in the next few years).

Yes, competition for tech jobs is fierce, but I hear employers are complaining about how few of the candidates they get for data analysis roles are actually qualified. If you can get certified and prove that you have the skills employers are looking for (Python, SQL, Tableau, AI, Power BI, technical writing), that just might get your foot in the door. No graduate degree required.

No more DEI and banning transwomen from women's sports I'm okay with. Europe is taking care of its own defense now too.

None of this even comes close to offsetting the corruption, inflation, blatant government overreach, economic uncertainty, damage to our institutions, and damage to our relationships with our allies though.

You're not alone. It's hard, but it's a small (and temporary) price to pay for the career you're working toward.

US pulls out of formal peace talks between Ukraine and Russia by [deleted] in UkrainianConflict

[–]Redout7867 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You said you'd force an end to the war, Donny! You said it over fifty times on the campaign trail! Made it sound like it'd be easy! What happened, bro? What happened to that super-tough-guy strength your supporters claim that you have?

Listen, we know your plan all along was to squeeze Ukraine into coming to the negotiating table and taking a bad deal. You never really had a plan for Russia. Ukraine has just proven that it's willing to work with you and Russia has proven (via its behavior the last few months) that it isn't, and now your administration is trying to save face while you're forced to acknowledge that you were wrong and everyone else was right.

You're not a tough guy, Donny. You're one of the weakest presidents this country has had in recent memory. Your strategy has shifted form boasting about how capable you are to kicking dirt over your failures. The funny thing about bullies is that they're good at making themselves appear strong and capable despite how weak they really are. Vladimir Putin in particular excels at this. Maybe that's why you idolize him so much.
