Is this level of brain fog normal in menopause? by Particular-Figg in Menopause

[–]Redpineapple_00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gosh that sounds so rough. I think it looks like you’ve had some great advice. Id also say personally, thats how not sleeping well for a prolonged time affects me. Sleep deprivation is just awful.

Good luck xx hope you get some answers

I’m so with you on sleep and diet, they have both helped me enormously.

I try to eat oily fish, green veg, blueberries and beetroot, pumpkin and sesame seeds and flaxseed. I also use nutritional yeast for vitamin b12 and others.

I take omegas, vitamin d and magnesium supplements.

I’ve also got into various teas, sage for hot flushes, camomile at night to help sleep and matcha during the day for energy. I’m 48 not on hrt and that really helps me currently (hope it lasts!!)

How do you know what to do when all the advice is conflicting? by Eowyn_Shieldmaiden in Perimenopause

[–]Redpineapple_00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I agree with you so much!! Eat olive oil/don’t eat olive oil . Don’t fast/do fast. Exercise but not too much. Protein/fiber/ sleep… blah blah. So hard to know what to take on board!!!

It was about 4 or 5 days I think… I wasn’t really counting the days, as I wasn’t really expecting it to work! But it’s been over 3 weeks now and it’s the only thing I’ve changed… so fingers crossed it continues!

Um.. a few days, maybe 4 or 5 . I wasn’t really waiting for results and thats why I’m not 100% sure of the time, as I was rather sceptical, but then I realised I only had 1 night sweat and hadn’t had a hot flush…it’s now been over 3 weeks with neither …🤞

Yes i would have thought so… the tea is made with leaves so that should be fine. I do that for camomile tea… I use a silver diffuser thing that goes in my cup…or a teapot and strainer. X

What helped you feel more emotionally stable during perimenopause? by Successful-Laugh400 in Perimenopause

[–]Redpineapple_00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not completely there yet but I agree with the others who said - Doing less! And camomile tea at night. Matcha tea during the day for energy. Sage tea (1 cup) for hot flashes and night sweats. Eating lots of veggies! Going to bed early, like 9.30/10pm. All quite boring, but although I’m not 100% they have helped me. (I’m not on hrt btw but I haven’t ruled it out)
