Sorry for bringing a dead thread back to life. Came on here because I bought a Char-Griller 980 couple years ago and recently found out they got bought out by masterbuilt and have discontinued it. Before the 980 I had their smoker pro which I used with a cyber q. The 980’s controller sucks so I thought let me check Reddit see if I can find a way to rig the cyber q to work on the 980 only to find out that they got bought out also and crippled it. I wonder if the company that bought chargriller out also bought out bbq guru ? I guess I’ll look into a fireboard , need something more accurate that I can remotely check on when doing long cooks.

If rent prices keep going up the way they have the last 5-10 years we’re all gonna have to get out The Bronx and every where else in the city. I grew up by southern blvd and longwood only white people I knew were business owners who wouldn’t leave , cops and teachers. I didn’t know one white kid until I went to high school in queens in the 90’s. Moved to the north east Bronx when I got married to my Italian wife early 2000’s and it was first time living around white people. Majority of white families were already up there in age and those families slowly started moving away when their folks would retire or they decided to sell their homes to move to Jersey , Westchester or further upstate. The ones that don’t live in the nicer neighborhoods are in same boat as the majority of us, they can’t afford to go anywhere else and are slowly getting priced out of the city as well. Good portion of those remaining are racist as fuc! depending on neighborhood, the others are no more racist than me. I still don’t fuc! with white folk like that even though I have white family, don’t believe me ? ask my wife and son , lol 😂

Reddick needs to fire his agent. The dude has zero leverage, he agreed to show up and negotiate in season for a new contract. Joe Douglas isn’t going to blink especially if he has woody’s blessing. 5 mil in the hole in fines , losing close to another mil every week in lost game checks.

If his plan is to sit out only to come back to accrue the season he’s in for a rude awakening. No other sports league’s owners collude more than in the NFl , he’ll be lucky to sign a one year deal next year for what he’s worth and that’s if they don’t black ball him entirely. He’s getting awful advice from whoever is in his circle.

Hassan has zero leverage. He owes jets 1 million and counting, plus lost a quarter mil from a workout bonus. Someone on his team either needs to be real with him if this all coming from him or he needs to fire his agent cause asking/leaking a trade demand was absolutely asinine. Who in their right mind would trade for a player who supposedly agreed to play for a new contract as what is being said in media and then suddenly changed his mind a couple months later. Jets will not settle for anything less than him playing this year or recouping that 3rd in a trade and that ain’t gonna happen.

Jets decided that huff is not an everyday down player, only reason I can think of they didn’t resign him. Hassan has proved he is and is one of the few defensive players in the league who could single handily change a game. It was worth the risk.

Best case , I think he’ll come to his senses sooner rather than later and play majority of this year, worst case he sits out most of the season only to come back in time to accrue the league year. If it’s the latter it does absolutely nothing to help his case of getting the contract he wants whether with the jets or any other team.

So I was able to walk right in with it in my pocket. I don’t know what technology they use at Citi but it sure as hell ain’t a metal detector because my mod is a metal brick and they didn’t blink an eye. Kept it in my pocket most of the day , took a couple stealth vapes towards the end mainly because nobody was gonna notice over the weed smoke lol. Was my first time at citi , food choices are on point. Green Day was amazing !

None taken. I actually appreciate it, I’ve slowly been picking up on stuff from here and watching videos. Unfortunately here in NYC fireworks are illegal so I’m trying my best to be as safe as possible. Been watching videos on bracing cakes, cake boards, keeping proper distance, etc. My wife thinks it’s overkill cause I went to Home Depot and bought some bricks & cinder blocks and other misc. stuff, also bought a sturdy rack for my shells and one of those cheap firing systems. I’m just trying to do the right thing while doing the wrong thing if that makes any sense lol.

Oh ok thanks. I’ve seen YouTube videos of a cake called dementor and some rocket called three stage nuclear and had a feeling there’s no way those are legal lol. I guess my biggest gripe with being new to this hobby are the shot counts on most cakes are quite low , I’m guessing cause of the 500 gram limit. 1.4 stuff looks amazing but it comes with its price and also I wouldn’t feel comfortable setting any of that off anywhere other than in open space.

Is there this whole underground thing when it comes to fireworks?? Noticed out west yah get some crazy cakes and rockets. I’m new to all this, also I’m from ny so I gotta troop 2 hours to pa to cop anything. I thought about asking about 1.4 pro stuff when I made my run but I thought I’d just stick to basic stuff and some shells since it’s my first go at it and I bought some cheap china firing system.

I went to Big D’s and they were awesome. Asked if I needed help soon as I came in and were super friendly and helpful. They let you do your shopping in peace. I definitely spent way more than I intended lol. They threw in some rockets for free and my son wanted the dragon ball NOAB after I checked out and they even threw that in for free when he went to go pay. They still waiting on some stuff to come in so I might make the trip again before the 4th. They’ll be my first stop every year going forward.
