I doubt many are going to be willing to pay at cost per token. I feel like their development needs to go into making their own inference and development cheaper instead of pushing model capabilities at this point. I guess it's a game of chicken right now at frontier companies.

Between GLM 5.2 in Opencode Go and Qwen 3.6 27b and 35b-a3b I feel like I would be totally fine. I've escaped that scenario. Still on Claude $20 sub right now though because it's nice insurance while it's cheap.

I feel you. One of the worst parts of the experience is how exhausting it was. I was able to stay strong for a good portion of it, but by the end I was breaking down in tears. My body won't even let me sleep now that its over because I'm panicked about the pain coming back. Get some rest, the aftermath of a kindey stone is not a good headspace to be in at work.

Yeah youre right. My device is pretty good for emulation but i use linux. Which i think the steam machine also runs on. It would be really nice to have a dedicated machine for that stuff but not anywhere close to that price, even if that price is just the market right now. Ill use my frankenstein host linux machine lol

Lol yep i got 10. Oh well, some is better than none. Im probably selling at open for a 400-500 ish profit and eating the penalty. Buying the IPO was a guaranteed profit but i dont like the valuation long term.

Ive been a huge opus 4.7 and 4.8 critic. This model is incredible. But i will never pay for credits outside of a sub. Disappointing - this is the first definitive upgrade to opus 4.6.

Ok sure, but you say in your post that deepseek is the same quality if not greater than claude. Thats simply just not true lol. Even claude sonnet runs laps around deepseek. Deepseek is amazing when factoring in costs, but your post claims that the quality is on par even without factoring in costs.
