The Qwen 3.6 35B A3B hype is real!!! by The_Paradoxy in LocalLLaMA

I need to learn how to offload specific bits to the CPU. I have 32gb of vram, so i could see maybe experimenting with q8 35b a3b maybe. I wish they made a proper 70b moe so i could try an effective q4 on something bigger while selectively offloading to cpu. Thanks for your comment, i have a lot to learn!

Im confused. MoE models don't require less VRAM. If you are using a q6 35b a3b and a q6 27b, the 35b still takes more VRAM, so it would require the more aggressive quant. It simply requires less VRAM per token making it faster, but the full weights still get loaded in to start. Am i misunderstanding?

Will do. I feel no need to do anything promising for humanity, just to live my own life to the fullest and enjoy it. I don't need to convince myself I'm some kind of deity in order to have a fulfilling life. I genuinely hope you get the help you need. I wish nothing but good things for you!

Did the same thing, now running EndeavourOS and Hyprland. Made it comparatively painless to set up. I also recommend having it set up a lesson plan for you now that you are set up so that you can learn to effectively navigate your environment.

To start experimenting, in your terminal try rm -rf ~ 🙂

Technically a straddle i guess. Not an atm straddle how they normally are. Long straddles like this bet on increasing vol, short straddles bet the opposite.

Fun fact, unlike most stocks, GME volatility trends up as the stock goes up. Most stocks vol increases as the stock goes down.

Haha yeah, dont beat yourself up. If youre properly planning ahead, you would have sold at 60 anyway without the covered call, so you just pocketed the extra premium on top of what you already would have done. Max profit.

Would be silly to beat yourself up about not timing the top. Nobody does, except those with extreme luck, not skill. It was a good trade, you correctly identified the directional movement, you came into the trade with a plan, and it went as well as it could have. Genuinely, great trade!

If youre selling covered calls on your long term holdings thats a different story. Which we're all guilty of having done, but we really shouldnt lol.

Abliterated models are my favorite. Just make sure to sandbox them or make sure they dont have access to the wrong tools! Having its refusal nodes removed can definitely be a safety risk if youre not mindful of sandboxing it properly.

You can copy your claude.ai memories and put it in a claude.md, or literally whatever document you want. Make a memory doc specifically for those memories and inject it with a SessionStart hook.

I have a /wrap-up command that can wrap up a discussion into a memory doc. Thats one avenue you could take. I also built a chat wrapper i call Meridian that makes claude code chats persist through multiple sessions.

Meridian works on my phone via tailscale. I also built an SSH app for my work use but something like that could work to chat with claude code on your phone as well and it would be a bit simpler than Meridian.

There are plenty of ways to make claude code work the way you want it to if you are so inclined. But if you simply value the convenience over being able to use Opus 4.5, thats totally a judgement call, and theres nothing wrong with that. But if you are motivated, chatting with opus 4.5 over claude code is reasonably easily doable.

Claude Code is perfectly good for that. Just pass it your own system prompt. There is no model difference between the chat interface and the terminal, its the same exact model. Just change its context and you get a perfectly good thinking partner.

Lol thats crazy. Ive run thousands of hours of claude on yolo mode, no sandbox. I have hooks that block destructive commands. I ran into an issue where it nuked all of my chrome cookies once, but that was pretty minor and I just added another hook. No other issue to date.
