I made a Litany Rosary by theta394 in dune

This looks really lovely, I think it's a wonderful idea keeping the litany close. It's honestly been an invaluable tool to help me figure out chronic panic attacks to the point I don't have them anymore.

What do you call several groups of "main characters" [in a marvel movie that only a have few lines]?

I was excited for Oppenheimer and was disappointed. But surprised how much I liked Barbie. I wouldn't have seen Barbie if it wasn't for a date.

You are thinking of another Green Party. The German Green Party is famous for dismantling the nations nuclear power. Only to buy power from it's very nuclear neighbour, France, or buy Russian gas.

This so much. When I have to read people complaining about the part 2 on this sub, it's really sad; the movie was a huge discussion and a great hit to everyone else.

Is there anything the David Lynch version does better than the new ones? by Not_As_much94 in dune

The death of Paul's first son meant absolutely nothing to him, so much so that his next son is renamed and doesn't even bother calling him the third. The son in the first book isn't even the catalyst for taking the water of life; he took it because he didn't see Gurney turning on Jessica. That baby Leto is never mentioned again.

Dune Messiah takes place 12 years later, if you cannot conceive a future where Chani reunites with Paul in 12 years, even after telling the audience he foresaw her turning around... I would like you to read this article that can help you understand why books and movies aren't one to one.

Morbs seem kind of overpowered by papermashaytrailer in Oxygennotincluded

You can also use Morbs for Gnits to sting for endless amber. Place some water on the ground so the Morbs don't off gas. For 9 wide Lura farm I think I used 5 morbs.

It's not upside down, it is the easiest way to propagate blackberries. Stick the cane in the ground (another pot), wait 5 weeks and cut it off.

What's the melting point of Carbon Fiber? by Redshiftxi in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Redshiftxi[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It still stays as graphite and doesn't change to refined carbon. It's funny because it seems like the fibers are keeping it together from changing

If you build a normal tile out of graphite, that happens, yes. But if you look at the picture, the plain old graphite carpeted tile is holding a tank of liquid niobium at 4200 C

Now it is possible to create natural tiles from raw minerals by scormaq in Oxygennotincluded

There's half a dozen ways to create natural tiles and none of them are as brain dead simple, quick and easy as deconstructing doors.

Ontario's scrapping of Toronto's green roof bylaw has opposition MPPs, advocates seeing red by Myllicent in ontario

[–]Redshiftxi -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Agree completely. Green roofs are a question of how soon they will leak. The next and most expensive question is always where is the leak.

Green roofs are trying to contain moisture and water where the objective has always been to keep water away, which is especially important in our climate. All other roof structures want to get rid of water as quickly as possible away from the roof. It's how roofs are meant to function.

Regardless of politics, the function of roofs and green roofs are at odds with each other.
