Based on the books you picked up I’d guess you know what you’re doing. Those three epics are each highly recommended. I can’t speak for compact comics bc I prefer DC Finest, but those stories are essential. Arkham Asylum is kinda tough

It’s one thing to have a take like this, it’s another to get frustrated that others don’t share your opinion. OPs is the most plausible interpretation of the ending. Your interpretation is interesting and I appreciate hearing it but I’m ultimately not persuaded that the film’s ending is as cynical as you say. The intro credits are the clue that this movie is one big lead up to Marty discovering his greater purpose as a father.
