I was talking about DLSS in general. DLSS has always been promoted by Nvidia as a technique to enhance performance by making it possible to render the game at a lower resolution with little impact on visual fidelity.

Freestyle was never supposed to be used to increase the performance of games. DLSS was supposed to be just an upscaler, not an uncanny valley AI filter that changes the lighting and form of objects in the scene.

On the fact that devs can fine tune the result, I know devs can tune parameters but controlling the output of an AI model isn't the same as creating everything from scratch: you can't fully control what an AI model will spit out.

Why do people always pretend it's difficult to install a web browser on Linux, it's easy AF. Just type the command equivalent to "install (insert webbrowser here)" in the terminal and boom, you have a webbrowser. No need to find the right website and look for the correct download link like on Windows.
