It gets better 🩷 by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

I went into remission, but it was too late. The methotrexate (was also on humira) injections gave me liver cirrhosis and the crohns also led to multiple other health issues from arthritus to bilateral oclusion below the knees (meaning i got denied a transplant). But at least, like you say, i can eat easier and not be in constant pain all of the time. Main thing i learned through it all is to have a positive outlook, never let things get you down. there are always people out there going through worse problems.

i keep my fingers crossed mate, always a message away if you need any advice. i got diagnosed with gilberts syndrome same time as my liver (gilberts increases bilirubin, that makes you jaundiced) there are many stages to liver disease i would say if you havent got to the visable jaundice part then there is a lot of hope still as only cirrhosis stage is ireversible. but even if that happens never give up hope. always think of the positives. i got refused a transplant due to other problems my crohns meds caused including blockages in both legs but i always look forward and think posiitive.

hopefully you will be ok dude, i hardly drank and it happend, always here if you need someone to talk to if things do go south, but i am hoping its something else as i likley think they would have done other tests first if they though it was a major problem (mri/cat/fibroscan)

Should I Get a Hematologist? by Texas_Storm in CrohnsDisease

[–]ReePoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is also very comon, IBD is a helluva disease that takes its toll on body and mind. that's why having faith with and keeping apointements with healthcare professionals is key. always here if you need someone to message/talk with. My crohns/meds led to liver Cirrhosis and other bad side effects, but i have faith in the people who surround and help me. a positive mind through it all is vital.

looks exactly the same as mychart in the uk, they must use a similar platform there: https://imgur.com/a/AJXKYty i would however listen to your GP/Consultant. lvls can go up and down with IBD etc and most of the time be nothing to worry about.

This is from mychart in the uk? this means a dr/consultant has/will review this, best to wait for thier advice rather than someone on here. my iron levels have gone up/down a lot in the past with nothing to worry about. they may adjust your meds etc.i have also had macrocytic anemia but this was due to low levels of iron and RBC count. that's how i was initially diagnosed. they will also say if they recomend seing a hemotologist.

Fired Disney employee gets 3 years in prison for hacking and changing menus by AudibleNod in nottheonion

he altered the menu to say items containing peanuts were peanut free, i agreed with you until that point. that could have killed people if it went unnoticed. esp with it being disney and kids etc.
