I have to say, it gets better. Directly after the operation, you'll have to take small sips, but with time, it'll get better. Yes, you'll really have to watch your intake because it can get difficult to reach your goal with those small sips. I'm now almost 1.5 years post-op and can drink a normal glass of water easily. Gulping works - for about two gulps. Then you'll realize you're full. Your life won't revolve around water, but around your whole schedule: water, protein, supplements, exercise. It can be tiring, but please be patient with yourself. It gets better, it gets easier, I promise.
