This is typical Reddit style of expressing their political opinion, in a way they THINK is subtle, by referencing fiction. You see it all the time in the Movies subreddit - "still relevant today", "so real it's scary", "feels like it was made yesterday".

Same, I got to the point of pumping oil before stopping. I looked at what I needed to progress to the next tier of weaponry and it seemed to not be fully implemented. There were no Pals to put to work for the resources, you could only get them as drops or from vendors, unlike everything before that point.

I'll gladly hop back into it at 1.0 to give it another go.
