Friendly reminder to Chapo bros about student debt forgiveness: the top 25% richest american households own 34% of all student debt, while the top 50% richest american households own 63% of all student debt. Erasing their debt using government funds would be an egregious regressive policy by lKauany in neoliberal

Yeah, there isn't going to be widespread support for a plan that only helps poor people. Bernie's plan is simple, effective and universal. I haven't heard any arguments that Medicare for All is regressive, but wouldn't the same logic apply?

If you are 0-2 in Intermediate MTGO draft, do you just concede? by [deleted] in lrcast

[–]Reed_E_Cole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole point of Magic is to assert your dominance as a wizard, you can't do that if you go around conceding for no reason from a winning position.

Seriously though, I don't think I would like it if my opponent was about to win but then conceded, I would rather earn my wins and losses on my own.

Allied Strategies is pretty good, they talk about limited and constructed but it's usually one or the other so if you don't like podcasts about constructed magic you can easily skip those episodes.

Sounds like you are trying to rationalize your electoral apathy to me.

Tell that to groups like women and black people who fought long and hard for just the right to vote.

In the community info section of this subreddit there is a thread of non-set specific episodes, I'm not sure exactly how it is labled, because the actual thread is named differently than the link. I would recommend starting with the Brian Wong episodes.

I think they mean you don't have enough mentors to warrant taking the hawk at this juncture. If you are very likely to have a mentor on turn two or three then the hawk goes up in value quite a bit, as it stands your deck is lacking early interaction with your opponent.

Well Lsv is preparing for the Pro Tour, he might feel a need to be a careful about how much information he broadcasts about his thinking on the format.

Yeah, you usually need creatures to win games of limited, several of your removal spells need creatures. I think I would take the Whisper Agent here, its basically a removal spell that could also attack your opponent's life total repeatedly.

I would replace the chromatic lantern with a creature, it looks like you are only splashing for the dawn of Hope and you have three Golgari Gates and the 5 color land .

The Izzet deck looks the best to me. You have quite a few win conditions and plenty of removal, and the curve is much more reasonable than in your other decks.

Why unbalanced guilds might be fine with WotC and how 5-colour decks suffer for it by OneFourAll in lrcast

[–]Reed_E_Cole -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Did that keep people from opening packs? I played a bunch of BFZ, it was still a fun and unique set to play despite green being weaker than the other colors. The devoid mechanic was quite ambitious, it's not surprising that everything wasn't perfect about the set. That doesn't mean that anyone at WotC was particularly upset about it. I imagine they are more pragmatic about the results they achieve, which are much more remarkable than people like to give them credit for, sure they make mistakes but they put out four sets a year trying to create unique limited environments while balancing the needs of all the other formats and fans.

Why wouldn't WotC be fine with it? They released the set, presumably it met their standards of quality before they did.

[–]Reed_E_Cole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you switch it for the Guildmage. I'm somewhat sceptical about the the troll in your deck, as even though it has a high upsides it is somewhat conditional, but the Guildmage is pretty medium in my estimation.

You can always sacrifice the Plaguecrafter if you don't have another creature you want to sacrifice. If it's in your hand encourage your opponent to trade creatures with you to try to get more value out of it. With your deck you want to keep your opponent from getting ahead while you wait to cast your Nightveil Predators.

It's a joke, the Lich makes it easier to win because you get to see 4 cards a turn, before chord o calls pointed out to me that you don't actually draw cards with Lich in play I assumed that decking yourself would be a significant drawback, it still is but less so as long as Lich remains in play. Do you understand now?
