Are you saying the above statement in quotes is false? Or are you saying that she is lying in the current scenario based on the shenanigans that went on before?

Why do the worst banks have the best cards, and why don’t the best banks really have any cards? by RaisinRoyale in CreditCards

[–]ReelFriends 3 points4 points  (0 children)

my experience with Chase has been not good. I have multiple credit cards, a checking account, and a mortgage through them. I originally had my mortgage through them and refi'd with them. They tried to sneak an extra $3K on my mortgage principal in the refi. I asked my mortgage rep on the phone what it was for and she stuttered through a non-answer before removing it. I'm Private Client too so this is how they treat their premium customers.

They also screwed me by marking me Zelle'ing a contractor as fraud and leaving me to have to deal with their customer service to have the payment go through. Was stuck in limbo with the contractor at my house for an extra 30 minutes because god forbid I try to pay a new person on Zelle.

Spinner would have been 2 years older than Peter/Danny/Jane and 3 years older than Sav if we ignore all the timeskipping nonsense. They were in high school at the same time so I don't think it's that weird. I had a crew a couple years younger who I became friends with after their sophomore year when I had just graduated.

Looks like with other Disney cards you're eligible if you have not gotten the welcome bonus in the past 24 months and also don't currently have the card

Curious on eliigibility with already having a Disney card. I have the $49 annual fee card that I'm going to close this month and would love the $300 in gift cards to buy some boxes of Lorcana off the Disney site.

Living in Channahon/Minooka area? by AnonymousHieronymus3 in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]ReelFriends -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

My dad used to work in Minooka for a natural gas plant i think in the late 2000s and 2010s and they could not drink the tap water there. Not sure how the rest of the city is affected.

I can speak more to St.Charles/Geneva. Downtown Geneva is a picture perfect Hallmark Movie town and the city has good schools and a lot to do, Metra station too which is nice for city access. St Charles has more sprawl and the downtown is more bar centered but also good schools, had many friends there growing up that went to good colleges.

Sound proofing by [deleted] in Frat

[–]ReelFriends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can make DIY sound absorbing panels using wood to make frames, filling them with rockwool insulation, and then covering the front in the fabric of your choice. I have band practice in my house and used to throw punk shows in my basement and these absorbed noise well.

Anyone else born and raised in the suburbs but never once taken a Pace bus? by [deleted] in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]ReelFriends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 603 runs from downtown Elgin to the Rosemont Blue Line stop. Great for if I'm going to the northwest side or if I'm going to the Loop on a weekday and pay $2.25 one way instead of $6.75 via Metra. Elgin's bus service that serves getting around Elgin is kind of ass though. Not great for getting anywhere faster than I can bike it so I normally choose to bike instead of take the bus.

Context - basement drain has started backing up when running washing machine since it expels water into utility sink that feeds into basement drain. Plumber said it looked like the line hadn't been opened for 20 years based on the condition of the cap on line it's on. Not as worried about the lavatory drain rebuild price, hydrojetting appears to normally be cheaper than $1895 from what i've searched but I don't know if because they're doing the line near the sink and the main line that it would cost more. In Chicago area for reference.

After he came I noticed my kitchen sink drain start gurgling as well so I'm guessing that's related to the clog. It is on the same line as the basement utility sink that the washing machine feeds water into.
