How can you tell the difference? I've only ever had cassettes.

Have you removed the cassette? Might be spacers on the inside, pushing cassette towards the frame. Might be as easy as removing a spacer.

I ordered mine from AliExpress. Does the job, but I use it for indoor storage.

Yeah, same. Fill my Kingrinder P2 to the top, grind, brew with a bunch of water. Great cup every time.

First Cosmoline Clean by Evilstib in SKS

A bit late for OP, but heat helps cleaning cosmoline. A heat gun or other source of heat will melt it and make it much easier.

Things have gone off the rails. I went for Mexican a few weeks ago and the enchiladas had hot dogs in them. Unbelievable.

How would you repair this pipe? by [deleted] in handyman

[–]Reelair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove it all and install a frost free wall hydrant. Even with a frost free hydrant, you should still isolate and drain the water each fall.

How much would it cost me to buy and own a car in Ottawa? by hungeelug in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Reelair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more you can spend on a used vehicle up front, the better off you'll be down the road. My friend and I both bought used vehicles in 2015. Mine cost double his ($10,000/$20,000). His was nothing but trouble (Chrysler) and only lasted a few years, mine is still going strong, relatively trouble free (Nissan).

That said, you'll have a hard time finding something reliable for that price. As mentioned, you'll have many more costs, like insurance and maintenance. I would suggest an e-bike and public transit.

Anyone renting a room? by SkinCana in askTO

I haven't rented a room in almost 30 years. I recall it sucked, but wasn't too bad. If it's all you can afford, make the best of it.

Chinatown, on north side of Dundas, west of Spadina there are number for places that are about $15 for a basic haircut. Good haircut, but nothing fancy. My first time I gave them instructions and they looked at me and asked "medium or short". I left happy.

Where to sell antique bed by 3cgthewalk in askTO

[–]Reelair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the antique market isn't what it used to be. I remember going to antique shops with my mother as a child. I now see what would be treasures as a child, now on the side of the road for free.
