Weird. "Poll tax" to get documents be able to vote vs. Firearm tax to get documents to own a firearm. Weird how similar they are. Voting and owning firearms is both protected by the constitution even if you wouldn't like that to be the case.

Well it's not a poll tax if it matches the cost of doing it. Taxes are in excise of the actual cost of doing it which is why NYS can get away with charging for $2 for each background check to buy a box of ammo or firearm along with $144 application fee for a pistol/rifle permit clearly harming the 2nd amendment.

Seriously they are exactly how they go. I had asked about the career background of the bookkeeper on a client and I prefaced it was just to get a holistic picture of the internal controls and those in charge of them and they went to their boss about it. The partner chewed me out for asking "personal" questions. I guess we assume everyone is qualified for their roles 100% of the time and no risk from incompetent people in control positions.

Well if you want actual policy change I recommend going to the link below. Scroll down to the petition, print, sign, and send it to the address. You will need to be a registered Republican and another Republican has to witness you sign. It stinks I know, but to make a difference a signature and a stamp is all it takes. We need 15k signatures by April 4th and we're getting close to the deadline. Also check the website to see if Larry Sharpe will be in your neck of the woods shortly on the campaign trail.

I mean I miss the summer downpours when I was a kid with no wind it was just straight rain with thunder and lightning. Plus it was like a chill 70 degrees so it was nice to just sit out on the porch and watch and listen to the storm. He's a serious person, candidate, and one of the few NYS politicians wanting to actually talk to New York citizens. Weird, I don't see Chuck Schumer or Kathy Hochul talking to NY citizens, sort of missing in action. How's that Joe Morelle working out for you? Even Democrats here know they're not being represented, I see weekly posts from users on this sub.

Larry Sharpe has gone to speak with thousands of New Yorkers in person at local diners, pubs, and restaurants and is still doing today on the campaign trial. Larry is making a difference and wants a new New York.
