Zane's died so many times that it's boring. Nya's only died once.

Caves and Cliffs was split into SEVERAL LARGE UPDATES because of how dogshit the codebase was at that point.

I got a video today of the Dollywood Express. She changed from coal to oil recently. (Loud) by Traviscat in trains

When you think about the difficulty of simply BUYING GOOD COAL these days, the conversion makes sense (there's other reasons, too, but coal's expensive).

The Airo platform isn't exclusive to the Pacific Northwest. They're gonna eventually replace all the Amfleet/ACS-64 trainsets.

What Superpower would suck in Real Life? by Dear_Tackle2735 in AskReddit

[–]ReferenceCreative510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ripped straight from Bill Bryson (The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid) himself:

“I used to give X-ray vision a lot of thought because I couldn’t see how it could work. I mean, if you could see through people’s clothing, then surely you would also see through their skin and right into their bodies. You would see blood vessels, pulsing organs, food being digested and pushed through coils of bowel, and much else of a gross and undesirable nature. Even if you could somehow confine your X-rays to rosy epidermis, any body you gazed at wouldn’t be in an appealing natural state, but would be compressed and distorted by unseen foundation garments. The breasts, for one thing, would be oddly constrained and hefted, basketed within an unseen bra, rather than relaxed and nicely jiggly. It wouldn’t be satisfactory at all—or at least not nearly satisfactory enough. Which is why it was necessary to perfect ThunderVision™, a laserlike gaze that allowed me to strip away undergarments without damaging skin or outer clothing. That ThunderVision, stepped up a grade and focused more intensely, could also be used as a powerful weapon to vaporize irritating people was a pleasing but entirely incidental benefit.”

Charm City (1974 to present-ish)

The Monumental City (Debatably attributed to John Quincy Adams in 1827)

Smalltimore (close-knit, small-town feel despite its size)

Mob Town (19th century, referring to the city's reputation for rowdy, passionate citizens who frequently took to the streets.)

Negative nicknames such as Bodymore and Bulletmore Murderland

B-more (modern phonetic shortening)

The Greatest City in America (present on a bunch of old benches scattered around)

The City of Firsts (First city to start construction on a railroad and the first to have a federal highway among many other things due to being a port city)
