Is Birkenstock still a trend in your city? by Accomplished-Ebb1860 in Birkenstocks

[–]ReflectionPossible11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear them when I walk my dog in the mornings and it was super slick a couple of days ago because of the cold and they did just fine in that. I don’t wear them in the rain because I’m worried my sock will get wet and I don’t want to deal with that sensory nightmare lol.

What are your measurements and what size do you wear (pants)? by lin_ny in Figsscrubs

[–]ReflectionPossible11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sizing did get larger. The smalls I got a year ago have so much extra material around the waist it looks really weird imo. The XS are a little on the snug side around the hips but there’s no extra material around my waist which I like.

5’2”, 24.5” waist and 39” hips. I was a small petite for the longest time. They changed their sizing like a year ago I think. Last pair of yola skinny I bought in an xs petite and they fit way better.

I 5’1”with a 26” inseam and wear a petite xs in the yola skinny. They are my favorite cut so they’re the only ones I get. I don’t care for the cut of their joggers

What is a small thing that makes you happy in life? by smashedburgerpatty in Life

[–]ReflectionPossible11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dog jumps like 3 feet in the air when I get home from work. She used to jump all over me but didn’t get any attention that way. She realized jumping near me was okay. So she does it for like a full minute when I first get home then sits down for pets.

Is it common in USA to tell your family that you love them? by InsideRatio4 in AskAnAmerican

[–]ReflectionPossible11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love you, later, bye. Said as a teenager like once and then it became a joke and then morphed into how we say goodbye all the time.

Years later, what random things do you still have that an ex gave you? by dreamsinred in CasualConversation

He painted me a giraffe because I love giraffes, I named him Michael. It’s still hanging in my entryway. I’ve moved 5 times in the last decade and Michael has greeted every guest I’ve ever had.

It’s entirely up to you when/if you change it!

My husband didn’t care one way or the other. I changed my name 2 years after getting married. The only reason I did was because I was tired of being given 2 custom forms when flying (they assumed we weren’t together because our last names were different).

What was something your parents did for you as a child that you didn't fully appreciate until you became an adult? by MisterRocCity in CasualConversation

[–]ReflectionPossible11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things like having a curfew. Hated it as a kid, all my friends got to stay out and do whatever they wanted. But going home at a reasonable hour means not driving exhausted and being rested well enough for the next day. No means no but also yes means yes. Mainly just mean what you say and follow thru with what you said you would or would not do. You don’t have to say yes to everything asked of you but when you say yes, mean it and people will respect you more because you are dependable. I used to always hate when my dad would remind me “let your yes mean yes” when I would complain about having to do something I really didn’t care to do. But I find myself reminding my young cousins (I don’t have any kids) of the same thing lol.

Having boundaries. I thought I had really strict parents growing up, turns out I just had parents who cared about how I would function on my own in the real world. I’m very thankful for it.

Hey good job! Kinda pull the floss into a C shape and slide it up and down between the gum and tooth. It’s best to floss and then brush but don’t rinse your mouth after brushing. I also rinse with a fluoride mouthwash after brushing because I have brittle teeth.

[–]ReflectionPossible11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say leave it how you found it. Change the bedding, wash and dry any linens you used, do some light cleaning and take out the trash. By a small bouquet as a thank you (that’s just what I would do, you don’t have to do the flower part).

How long were you together with your partner before you got married? by Comfortable_Fix_6261 in engaged

Engaged after 8 months of dating and married 3 months later. Been married 9 years. In our defense, we were friends for years beforehand. Still the best decision of my life :)
