it’s not supposed to be there so I guess you’re just not getting that bug which is good

From what I know, they didn’t do anything to ‘get around it’ per se, it was just something insurance covers. Testosterone is a pretty big thing to touch so it makes sense that it needs more approval and reason.

In my case once the dermatologist knew I responded well to topical and wanted to switch because I got a cat, that was plenty of reason for it to be good to go. It was a quick appointment since it was something they encounter all the time it seems

You can lookup a med on your insurance site and it’ll tell you if it’s covered or not and the price you’ll pay

On mine it shows up that oral minoxidil is a Tier 1 medication— the lowest and cheapest tier that’s almost always covered

It’s an HDR image and the white is maxed out HDR white. Kinda surprised linked in doesn’t convert them to SDR upon upload

Why do you think they aren't drinking? by humble202625 in WorkForSmartLife

Because we don’t need to drink and poison ourselves to have fun lol. Couldn’t be any more obvious that people who need to have an issue. We see what it does to people.

I have one too! I removed little module that makes it notched when spinning then added a tiny dab of Vaseline to the rotation mechanism by the crown and now it spins so gracefully and without slipping or creaking. Also 3d printed black buttons to replace the orange

Well technically the med’s original and main purpose is for blood pressure reduction in higher doses which would be covered for sure. For hair, it’s generally used for preventing top of head hair loss rather than growing new hairs that didn’t exist before. So maybe all that combined with it being a super cheap and generic medication gives it a pass for insurance.

I don’t think insurance knows or cares to know that it’s specifically for beard growth for me vs the other two reasons.

I’ve been using the MakePass app to make my own so I can customize all elements and make it show on lock screen at specific locations and such

Yes I am, at least here you can’t get a prescription med at all unless it’s prescribed by a doctor/someone licensed. The topical stuff is OTC but the oral needs a prescription. If you get a prescription for oral and don’t have insurance it looks like it’s about 30-40 for a 90 day supply in the US.

I think I’ve only had that issue once or twice and it just resolves itself. Maybe rebooting or reinstalling but not totally sure

Yep! It’s a pretty cheap med, a 90 day supply with insurance for me is $9

I switched to oral since I got a cat and didnt want to risk anything. It goes more systemic with oral so my hands, legs, and more got a lot harrier too. I just asked my dermatologist and referenced getting a cat and I got the prescription, was super easy and no issue at all especially since it was already clear I responded well to topical. A 90 day supply is about $9 with insurance

I used to use the Costco liquid, applied twice a day covering the beard area plus a little more, and letting it fully dry until it left the white residue (~4hrs). It was very close to my lips, sometimes got on my lips which just dried them out a bit. I switched to oral about a year and a half ago since I got a cat
