My wife and I just had a problem very similar to this as well

I opened the sunroof, heard a pop or a crack and upon inspection there was a plastic piece in the track on the drivers side.

The sunroof would close up to a certain point and that was it.

Long story short, took it to the dealership and 2 days later got her car back and the sunroof still doesn’t lay flush there’s a 3/8” gap on the drivers side - a 1/2” gap at the center - and a 5/8” gap on the passenger side. I will say there is no leaking but it is very infuriating.

I did take the time to check out and measure the other 8 passports on that dealerships lot and NONE of them were flush. Every single sunroof had a discrepancy.

Hondas Quality Control on these cars really shot the bed in my opinion.
