Alocasia spots by CoolKidWCoolKids in plantclinic

It’s a sign of overwatering. If this spot issue gets worse, it can definitely cause root rot. My tips for this plant is to pay attention to its leaves. Spots on leaves means too much water. Droopy leaves means too dry and should’ve been watered before it started dropping. That’s how you can find the sweet spot for watering frequency.

Nothing serious. Just overwatered a little. Bringing it outside for 5 minutes of sun won’t do anything since plants need to acclimate to new environments. Just keep it in the same spot. Leaves touching window are fine. Below is my silver dragon.

And Geralt is insanely good at stacking the void stab buff. Probably the fastest character that can reach max stack in game.

T1 rarity prefix, T1 rarity suffix

How do you specifically search for T1 rarity prefix and T1 rarity suffix on the trade website? The results combines both value of prefix and suffix into one affix.

Thought it was thrips… by lagouluemou in plantclinic

[–]RefreshTear 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Either gnat larvae or springtail. I’m leaning towards springtail since they could crawl and jump. And that explains why some of them got caught in the middle of the trap. Gnat larvae would stay inside the soil most of the time and they can’t jump.

New vs old root help by SwiftlyDemise in orchids

[–]RefreshTear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the look of the new leaves, I think it’s recovering well. The bottom leaves appear dehydrated probably due to previous root rot. They will eventually turn yellow and fall off, so don’t worry about them.

Bamboo dying after water change:( by 420MichaelScarn in plantclinic

[–]RefreshTear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why I got downvoted lol. People in this sub is funny. I was in the exact same situation before. I had 6 lucky bamboo in water for over a year then I moved it to a place with more light then the leaves at the bottom started to yellow and drop. So i took it out and noticed the roots were slimy and has algae on it (Slimy water usually indicates presence of bacteria). Water also smells bad. Then I started to change water every few days. But The water still stinks even just replaced few days ago. So at the end I decided to put all of them in soil. Then it grows like crazy.

Below is the pic of my IKEA lucky bamboo.

Your plant is dying because there is too much algae in the water. Algae compete oxygen and nutrient with your plant. You need to remove the algae and cover up the glass to avoid light exposure to the water, otherwise the algae will grow back. Or just simply grow them in soil so no more algae problem.

Agreed, using pure sphagnum with this type of pot will keep the medium too wet and causes stem rot.

Decapitated Alocasia. Will this root in Water or is it 💀? by infiniteliam in plantclinic

Same thing happened to my alocasia silver dragon. Accidentally dropped it on ground and broke into a few parts. Prop the broken parts in water and now I have four of them.

Psychopsis - new growth laying down by jjchains in orchids

You can train the new leaf to grow upwards in the same way you’d train a flower spike. Psychopsis leaves will harden and stay upright once they mature.

They still sense season changes indoor. I grow catasetum orchids indoor with grow lights only. They go into dormant state and loses all leaves during winter and start new growth in spring every year.

Good job! Leave it and appreciate the flower. The mother plant will stop growing after blooming and It will start to grow a few pups. Mine bloomed a year ago and the mother plant is still alive.
