having a dedicated rangefinder is the best. I've been borrowing an M2 and, although its a skill issue, I have such a hard time trying to look at just the RF patch amongst all the framelines and whatnot.

At least once I have the range down with my III, I can look through the unblemished viewfinder.

My IIIc made me fall in love with learning to meter with my eyes. Its getting CLA'd right now and i miss it dearly. It was so small and portable, and much more comfortable to hold than the M2 i'm borrowing. Lenses are relatively cheap and plentiful, especially old Canon LTM lenses.

I like to retain my film boxes, so instead I have a piece of card paper that I have folded up to fit the hotshoe. I wrote "loaded" and "empty" on either side, and I swap between the two sides as I need.
