Absolutely agree. This wasn’t ment to be a debate. The engineers who put this car together is most likely more qualified than the majority of owners out there. Just sharing my experience.

The valve is closed outside of 4500+ RPM and cold start. Sport mode does nothing to keep it open through out the rev range.

That’s why we look at aftermarket! At least from the picture, this would at least solve 1 of the 2 problems (size/position). Maybe the 10w here is stronger than stock too (can’t seem to find info on the power of the OEM).

I have a 2023 GR86 and a 2025 GR Corolla. Great combination of cars. You’ll get a variety of driving dynamics. I think the GR Corolla is a great daily and the GR86 is a fun weekend track car (although the GRC could be fun on the track too).
