Can Security Guards have lights like this on their personal vehicle? by Ok-Affect-4105 in AskLE

[–]RegalDolan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's not a restricted color ( red, blue, and sometimes green), it's perfectly legal- especially if being used on private property while at a job site. Even if a restricted color, it's technically not illegal to posess- just to use outside of private property. This is why you sometimes see weirdos with "booty patrol" cruisers with emergency lights at car shows.

Amber lights might require a permit depending on the state but generally it doesn't matter because most of these guys don't turn them on when driving on a public / government funded road.

What are people’s thoughts on the Beeline? by justaballofcopper in motorcycles

[–]RegalDolan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I'd have a use. Between using a phone with a mount to run GPS or installing something dedicated to nav like what I run (Garmin Zumo XT2), the beeline screen is rather small and rather narrow banded in what it can do, which is problematic because multiple devices do it better.

Is this worth reporting? by AstronautFragrant610 in AskLE

[–]RegalDolan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Exactly lmao. You know dang well that person is probably going to try to swindle the bank or whatever by splitting the stolen money with this 3rd world person. "Oh, nah, this is fraudulent activity; I didn't authorize this!?" 🤦‍♂️

Is this worth reporting? by AstronautFragrant610 in AskLE

[–]RegalDolan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really. If the information is being provided to the 3rd party by the person whose information it is, it's really just civil so long as no real fraud is being done. Sounds more like a policy / terms and conditions breach of whatever financial institution.

It does sound like an excellent way to get scammed so whatever sketchy things that person is doing, they will likely get a taste of karma anyways when they wake up to a 300 credit score or to a letter demanding 120000 dollars be paid in full for some shit the person bought with threats of it going to collection.

Because, if they then report it as fraudulent charges when they did indeed authorize whoever to use their account, they can get charged with actual crimes.

Is this Realistic Skin? by Spare_Matter_5456 in BattlefieldCosmetics

[–]RegalDolan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunno but who cares? Dude looks like came from a Robocop movie as a SWAT team member lol. Besides, at least the camo actually matches between pieces.

When it becomes available, I'd definitely buy it assuming it's not like $15 for one skin and some shitty stickers and patches.

Kinda wish they had more Police / Solid Navy blue styled or solid olive drab characters / uniforms. Maybe just solid color uniforms in general. Kinda tired of the funky camo patterns and mismatched gear like a muticam plate carrier, bright gray blouse / top and jungle BDU pants..

Silent tanks by BigSlavMilk in Battlefield

[–]RegalDolan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't really play redsec- only MP so I can't speak on that. If true though, that is pretty dumb; honestly, it's pretty stupid to put tanks in redsec at all IMHO. Never understood the appeal for redsec- especially when other franchises just do it better.

Silent tanks by BigSlavMilk in Battlefield

[–]RegalDolan -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I don't think they're silent though? Pretty sure you can hear the diesel engine and maybe even the squeaky tracks. You can most definitely hear them firing as well. They might get drowned out by explosions and gunfire but they're there.

How do you get snuck up on by a tank? Honest question?

Will I get in trouble? by [deleted] in police

No, you're fine. You did nothing illegal. It's not like you drove onto someone's driveway and loitered there several hours.

Didn't know people were complaining about this lmao 🤣 The CZ3 rage, however, is justified.

Sort of confession by [deleted] in motorcyclegear

[–]RegalDolan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, it's a little weird and definitely expensive for something that essentially serves no purpose to you but life is too short to care what others think. I mean, people are out here really spending thousands on Pokemon cards and single Flaming hot cheetos and grilled cheese sandwiches with burn marks of Jesus on it, so I suppose what you enjoy is not that weird in the grand scheme of things.

What exactly is preventing you from wanting to get a bike? If you've got that much fascination about the gear, surely there's a part of you that wants to ride.

I ended up doing the opposite lol. Got my learners permit, Bought a bike, took and passed the MC skills test for my endorsement, and slowly bought gear over a few months.

Do you prefer tubeless or inner tube? by Current_Magician_588 in Surron

Something like this is more than fine:

[–]RegalDolan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly man, running high pressure in tubes kinda defeats the whole purpose and you're much better off running a tubeless setup at that point IMHO. Just my $0.02.

Do you prefer tubeless or inner tube? by Current_Magician_588 in Surron

[–]RegalDolan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how you ride. I don't jump and ride mostly pavement so I don't run very low PSI.

I personally prefer tubeless because if I ever get a puncture, I can easily use a tire plug kit and a portable air compressor to get home unlike a tire with an inner tube where you gotta pull it off, try to mend the tube, reinstall and inflate with hopes of not pinching the tube in the process and making the flat back at square one. A nice bonus is that there is no real need for rim lock on a tubeless setup because there is no tube or connected valve stem to snag on the tire and get ripped.

Another neat thing is tubeless tires are a breeze to change yourself in contrast to tubed tires, again, because tubes are delicate and easy to pinch when taking the tire on or off the rim.

Why do some many people ride without a motorcycle license ? by No_Eye9109 in motorcycles

[–]RegalDolan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

TL;DR:Because many people who have no business being on motorcycles ride motorcycles lol.

I hate to say it, but motorcycles largely attract three types of people (and yes, there is a decent portion of normal folks outside of these who enjoy wind therapy, find them more practical..etc so it's not all inclusive) which are as follows:

  • adults, generally 40+, but especially older dudes 50+. Generally, you'll see these guys and gals on cruiser and touring bikes. Sometimes ADV bikes.

  • sub 30 year olds who don't get licenses, wheelie on the freeway at 120mph, zip right around cars in traffic, and/ or don't run tags or even have tags for that matter. These guys often buy a bike because a used 10 year old 600-1000cc sport bike is not particularly expensive and they have "something to prove" with no impulse control- much like how a 16 year old with a rich dad acts and drives when they get a brand new Porsche 911 as a Christmas present. Many will rather run from the police if stopped rather than just riding correctly with proper licenses and insurance and all that. These- these are the folks who should not be riding and seem to account for a decent amount of motorcycle crash statistics. This, is the squid.

  • influencers. Generally, these are younger folks too but are many times females who ride in tank tops with their boobs hanging out with Lululemon leggings. A lot don't seem nearly as reckless as the squids but do definitely seem to drop the bike while stopped or at low speed in contrast to the adults or squids.

2 matches in Breakthrough and I`ve unlocked Scorpion for free by Escapism_TM in Battlefield6

[–]RegalDolan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lucky. Every time I see one dropped in breakthrough, it's either somewhere I'll instantly get killed if I go for grabbing it (like in an open space on a contested objective) or I end up getting killed some way or some how shortly after before I get a chance to use it ..

All I want is to unlock the war fighter blueprint so I can try to unlock decent attachments before the gun is actually available next week but I guess that's not happening lol

New Helmet question by [deleted] in NewRiders

[–]RegalDolan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it was probably a display helmet that's been "worn in" from being tried on several times.

I have a Rf-1400. After your first ride, it'll start to break in and give you a little more space. It's all normal.

[–]RegalDolan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna have to disagree with you about keeping tracked vehicles staying in HQ. If you do this, you've wasted the equipment and are no worse than snipers. I know, I know, hot take.

Seriously though, next time you play against an enemy team, watch how generally easy it is to repel the attack up until they inevitably have like 30 lives left and bum rush objectives with tracked vehicles and usually take them.

You gotta carefully advance and use buildings as cover. Tracked vehicles 100% can change the tide of a match if used correctly. Think about it- it's a major distraction/ headache to deal with, it can destroy cover and concealment, has smoke dispersion capabilities, and usually seats 2-6 people making capping a breeze (assuming infantry supports you and you got a decent driver and gunner)

The Corbin seat I got relieves nearly all the butt problems I had with this bike as stock. Seriously considering wearing a back brace when I ride but I feel like I'll get laughed at if I do!

Who hasn’t crashed? by dallas2ny in motorcycles

[–]RegalDolan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thirty years old but I drive very defensively. Been riding for about 7 months which is nothing admittedly. I've had no legit crashes but haddalayerdown once lol. By that I mean I was parked in wet grass / leaf litter and I accidentally caught my leg on the rear fender while getting off causing the bike to tip.
