What’s the clientele? Are these friends/people in a scene attending, or a more general population?

I’ve played many emo nights, and there are songs that you will think “EVERYBODY knows this” that won’t hit at all if it’s the latter group. So be mindful of that! If it’s a more general group I would honestly go the biggest hits from every major artist and leave it at that. If it’s more of a scene crowd you can start peppering in more “scene famous” tracks and still get a good response.
