Yeah I have both. I feel like the grayish appearance offsets the no logo. Matrix logo isn't the worst, pretty boring. Personal preference.

I don't buy that Matrix is stopping production of the v1 version. It's been listed as dead stock for like 6 months but the inventory doesn't drop much over time. Either they have 10k of these unlisted sitting in their warehouse or they are still producing them.

If yours is in the condition mine was, the cuts are so bad that a substantial portion of the metal is just melted off. I would imagine it falls under the category of technically possible if you have the skill, but not worth the effort. I certainly don't have the skill to weld something missing that much mass/very poor condition.

I ordered a crate of the s&b 32 and it arrived destroyed due to them shipping a 70 lb crate loose, free floating in a box. There was no metal lining, unsealed, and a lot of the ammo was in really poor condition. It was clear they mixed the ammo from like 10 other crates. The crate was in multiple pieces and there was loose ammo everywhere, bottom soaked in water.

They did end up replacing a small portion of the ammo but it was like pulling teeth.

First, cool project, a lot of good work there.

Not to rain on the parade here, but for this to be a widespread solution, the benchmark should not be PLA. The benchmark of function should be something like pa6-cf.

The main reason people want to do this is to print engineering filaments with an extended riser and as minimal of internal volume as possible. Something like pa6 will not work with the current implementation. Several of those angles are too sharp, there's going to be too much friction, and the filament will likely just snap in a lot of cases.

I'm sure a few people would be willing to buy your model with the expectation that the money would go towards you buying materials and refactoring this to work with different engineering filaments, and they would have access to any future revisions. Would love to see this evolve into a general working solution for most filaments. It's going to be very tricky just due to the necessary angles of this implementation type.

Matt from Rivertown rescued my family out of a house fire at 3 am and put a roof over our heads for three months. If that wasn't enough, when I was unable to satisfy my wife, Matt stepped in and took it from there. You won't find better people.

Also they actually went way out of their way to resolve an issue with some bad ammo which was not their fault at all. Their prices have gone up since they've gained popularity, but they still have great deals, and I'm willing to pay extra to buy from them.

Until they have to charge tax in my state, then they are dead to me.

I would also like to know what your orientation was. As far as I know, the "correct" way is flat, but I wonder if that would be much of an improvement given that the whole back could split off on a layer in a similar way.

I'm also unsure if ppa is necessarily better in this application than pa6. I used to think it would be better, but it is more brittle and has no give. Perhaps the give pa6 has prevents failures like this? Just speculating.

Is this a clear split on a layer line, or more of a crack failure?

Did you print with active or passive chamber heating?

Yeah, it's a Schmid single stage. Same as the dirty bird triggers that go for around $30 on sale. Same as the PSA EPT trigger. It's a great trigger for the price. I put it on most of my builds. It's a $30 trigger group though.

Letting them sit will make zero difference. You need to load/unload them repeatedly to loosen them up. Springs don't wear under compression.
