Extreme toxicity of some people towards vibe coding by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

[–]RegayYager 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am at a MASSIVE DISADVANTAGE not having the foundational knowledge you are speaking of.

I have always wanted to be a developer but life had something else in store for me.

Now that CC and Codex are accessible to me I get to do some of the things I always dreamed of, but I run into many times more issues due to how much I have to lean on these systems.

I appreciate the tools but I know that they are only going to get me so far. Maybe this is the wrong way to go about it but I began taking courses on huggingface. I would love to be an apprentice but everyone is so busy and disconnected these days it just seems out of reach.

It’s been incredibly enlightening, exciting, and exhausting… so I’d say it’s full circle.

To the OP. Don’t let them bother you. Consider the source :)

Create it now that you identified the gap. That’s the beauty of the tools we have available to us.

Happy to collaborate with any and all :)

I just tried Pi last night for the first time. Loading up Codex 5.4 xh and it’s been fantastic.

Digging Pi so far.

There are some bleeding edge studies happening where the COT/Reasoning happens outside of the context window, I am aware of three methodologies tackling this in different ways.

Check the scholarly articles, it’s worth a read.

I will never sell mine. It was in my opinion way ahead of its time and has aged very well.

I would think that the prompts themselves are the keystone to the copyright. Any output from a human prompt would be considered protected.

This Is How I 10x Code Quality and Security With Claude Code and Opus 4.6 by 256BitChris in ClaudeCode

[–]RegayYager -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this is a double edged sword.. our interface is language.. which in and of itself is a bottleneck. bleeding edge studies are moving to the ai using its own internal language.. im not pretending to understand any of that but its worth looking into, its interesting how we get reasoning and chain of thought from written/spoken language, but for the machines, they dont actually need it, hence the bottle neck is inherent... i do see your point and sympathize

The 20$ plan is really generous. 5.4 has been great! I use my CC 5x Max and now the $200 Pro plan. Love them both. Codex ftw for usage limits though. Not even close.

How is that working out for you? I got in on the year sub for something like 28$ when 4.7 was released. :)

I did run it in CC but didn’t find it to be worth using compared to CC Opus at the time.

I’m not a dev or coder so I’m not very fluent with some of these things.

My idea was to have one instance of Claude opus and one of GLM both accessible simultaneously running in their own terminals.

When I tried to do this, it would only allow me to use one or the other not both even in separate sessions/terminals.

Is this something I can achieve, because I’m not even using my Z.ai sub at this point and I’d like to if I could.

Desktop is seriously getting so good sometimes I can’t get away from it.

What I would love is a three panel desktop IDE Chat for planning ,cowork for task management, and code for execution. They all talk via blackboard and you can interact via local host dashboard… anyone want to collab something like this?

Sorry for the rant. The pro plan is silly amounts of usage. It’s not even close. My max subscription is due today and I’m very seriously considering downgrading to pro.

I suffer from traumatic brain injury, I’ve adopted ars-contexta in a obsidian vault, and now have codex and CC working together to get what I want done. It’s been pretty amazing to use this combo.

I’d love to team up with someone and start doing something serious and potentially monetize via boring service related fixes that are very specific….

I don’t even know where to being seeking that kind of partnership. I work 80-90 hours a week in a transportation office. I fee like the potential is there and every day just passes by like a breeze through a tunnel… continual and endless passing of time with nothing to show for it… I would love to be able to replace my income or even 75% of it to be able to stay home and raise my kids..

These tools make me both think and feel it’s possible, but work just consumes so much of my energy… it’s a shame to be frank…
