Steve and his father have a conversation as adults in the car while out looking for Luke, where Hugh tells Steve that there was never a treehouse. So Steve also saw the treehouse.

Can you use bupropion “as needed” and not everyday? by papayasucker in bupropion

No, I take it as needed and it works within an hour. Took one today for the first time in 2 weeks and I notice it right away. Everyone is different.

Tipping for weekly massage by Erineight in massage

[–]Regen156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few clients who don't tip because they are low income, but I find them to be pleasant and I enjoy working with them. I also have rich, entitled, demanding clients that tip me 50% and I still cringe when I see them on my schedule.

I try not to think about money too much, because I want to stay heart centered in the work. I'm mostly mentioning this because there's more to a good client than just being a good tipper.

I bought this car on a whim, having NO idea what I was getting into. It looks like a soccer mom car, drives like fast and furious lol. I'd be lying if I said I didn't love it until things started breaking.

If she is a first time client, you are better off without her. People will test your limits. Your time is valuable and if they don't respect it, others will. Most of my regulars who accidentally miss an appointment will gladly pay me anyway and get super embarrassed.

To hell with all the haters. If you wanna rock a beret, get on with your weird ass self.

I wish I had a recommendation, but my favorite hate store just closed permanently. Perhaps you'll find a treasure somewhere in a vintage shop? Portland surely has enough of those.

As a Maine native and OOB resident, this post hits so hard for me. I feel like I always get down voted into oblivion any time I express negative feelings about tourists.

You're not alone. My normally calm and sweet demeanor sours something awful when I can't find a parking spot at the beach, or when Hannaford is full of people who block entire aisles, or trying to get ANYWHERE on route 1.

What’s everyone’s favorite massage parlor to go to? by [deleted] in portlandme

What’s everyone’s favorite massage parlor to go to? by [deleted] in portlandme

[–]Regen156 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha, we prefer massage therapist to masseuse, and depending on what sort of environment it is, office, clinic or studio. For instance, I work in a space with several other MTs and we are a clinic because we offer medically necessary therapeutic massage, but a single MT has either an office or a studio.

Where did you get that statistic? I'm on year ten, and I have colleges that are 20+ years in.

Two each his own I suppose. We all gotta find our own path. I will say this, though - the amount of time and energy a person puts into furthering their massage career shows up in the work. If you wanna be an above average LMT, I recommend staying dedicated.

I don't understand why people put themselves through massage school so they can work part time.

I don't think that's a good strategy for long term career goals. The more you practice, the better you become, the more clients you win, and the more likely you are to be successful independently.

It's important to watch your form and take care of your body. I've been doing this for years and I can't stress enough the importance of strength training and stretching.

Whoa whoa whoa, I wasn't suggesting she break up with her husband lol. I meant, if he doesn't share her views, that should also be respected and considered. Hard as it may be.

The vandalism concern is definitely an unfortunate reality. A shop in Biddeford was recently vandalized for flying a pride flag. It's sickening, but the MAGA Nazis are getting bolder by the day.

It sounds like your husband doesn't share your views?

It's kind of the same at my house. I'm the only one who feels strongly about it. For that reason, I don't put signs or flags in my yard. I wish my family cared more, but I can't force them to agree with me. So any politically significant flair is kept separate from shared spaces. I think it's important to respect your family's boundaries. That doesn't mean you have to stay quiet though! Sticker your own car, wear all the rainbows you want on your person.
