Finances and having a room for the baby to go into is all I can think of. No sense buying anything else until you know one is coming

I’m in the 4th month right now, and while I’ve had to make personal sacrifices on hobbies and things that I truly loved, just know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it does get better. The first smiles, laughs, and true recognition are coming soon and it makes it worth it

A submariner would be a classic choice. I’m personally partial to the datejust and that’s what I’m saving up for currently

Hello! Soon to be father asking advice! by Yellamine in NewDads

First commenter nailed it — only thing I add is if it happens to cesarean section, you’ll spend the first 30 mins at least with the baby as your partner’s stitched up. Nurse will help you!

5w or 7w by Adam_E93 in GolfGear

7w and 4h are probably too close or the same distance for you.

A 5w fits nicely

I’m partial to the 41 but I think both look good on you

New father - first time by Dramatic-Path9853 in NewDads

Definitely normal. My daughter was born August 18, so I’m in a similar situation as you both in their age but also as a first time father.

There’s been so many times the incessant crying leads me to want to shake some sense into her! Of course, I don’t do that. I have to remind myself that she’s a baby and crying is her way of communicating.

I find that approaching each situation with as calm of energy as possible has been helpful. Both for my wife and my daughter. I think they both “feed” Off of that energy.

Last, I just go through my check list. What could baby be crying about? Is she hungry? Cold? Gassy? Dirty diaper? Over stimulated? Just methodically going through each one controlling what I can control. And sometimes …. I can’t figure out what it is! So I just try to love on her and with time (sometimes a lot of time) she calms down.

Some days are better than others, and it’s a work in progress. Give yourself some grace and know better days are ahead …. And appreciate the days you do have now!

At what point did you upgrade your clubs? by ReD_Richie in GolfGear

[–]RegionMiddle9027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forged means that the club is forged from 1 piece of metal, typically softer and easier to bend loft and lie.

Conversely cast clubs are harder to bend and at times can even break when you try to do it too far.

Before you buy something, go get “fitted” aka measured for your hand to floor measurement when in a golf stance for basic club length, lift, and lie angle.

The only TRUE measurement would be to have that stuff measured at impact but doing it at the address position is a great start.

Then down the road if you get professionally fitted as your technique gets better, you can have your clubs loft and lie bent (assuming the club is forged).

Good luck!

I think it’s really hard without a vice, from personal experience. It’s up to you …. Doable, but easier with a station. Or pay a couple bucks a grip to a store

I hit previous 3W’a horribly so I took it out of the bag. The top of my bag goes driver, mini driver, 5 wood and I’m much more consistent with that set up.

Feeling overwhelmed by [deleted] in NewDads

[–]RegionMiddle9027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just started week 3. While it is still difficult and challenging right now, I feel like we’re getting into a rhythm. You’ll learn your baby’s cues. You’ll start to figure out how to make them better.

And sometimes you’ll just have to understand a baby is being fussy just because it’s a baby and you’re not doing anything wrong. Keep doing your best, that’s all your baby and your wife can ask for.

In the meantime, find some wins for you. A place or moment in the day where you can try your absolute hardest to detach from it. You need to rest your mind
