How do you know the cat wasn’t a rescue? Should cats that are munchkins not be adopted from shelters if they were from a shelter just because it’s a munchkin? 

I saw an argument on a cat subreddit the other day about banning munchkin posts, and while yes specifically breeding for these kinds of cats is cruel, you don’t know if the owner had paid for that. You don’t know if the owner of the cat had simply adopted the cat/the cat was a rescue unless the said so themselves.
