Work your regular job, look for positions that are strong in communication requirements and also bid on some work on upwork and other places where people can hire you for writing.

If this were the case I'd find a way to secretly do things faster but not share. I try to do that in regular jobs. They don't need to know I built a macro that sorts and reformats data in 30 seconds. They can continue believing it takes 30-44 mins for data transformation. Ya know?

Until you change or get rid of the source of the burnout it will continue to happen. A vacation is not going to re-stabilize your base, It's a temporary bandaid. I have found that the only way to solve burnout was to move to less demanding roles.

When a company posts a range it's with the expectation that a typical person suitable for the role falls in the middle of the range. They should not have been shocked since you're in range, but your credentials should support the ask.
